We have 3 cats. The two eldest, Teya and Syon are the sweet ones. Teya has always followed me everywhere, my husband calls her my familiar.
The third, Mena, doesn't like women so has always stayed at a distance. Strangely enough for about 2 months during my second tri, she decided she wanted to be near me all the time. She'd lay behind my monitors while i was working, or come lay on my arm while trying to work at my keyboard. Much to the distress of Teya, who doesn't like to share. Neither of them like to share, as it seems female cat's are the jealous types!
Anyway she's pretty much gone back to normal behavior. I'm sure once we bring home another wailing female (baby) things are going to get really interesting!
In 2005 when I was pregnant with my DD @ 23 weeks the day before I went to the OB and was diagnosed with pre-e my one dog was acting strange he even tried to climb into my lap when I went to the bathroom. He also was nudging me when I went to take a nap, it was like he was trying to keep we awake or something. He had never done that before or since.
I think they can sense something has changed. Not saying that what they sense always means something bad is going to happen but that they sometimes sense a change.

I have two cats and they were loving before, but now, after work they are clingy and like to lounge on me. They even like to knead the baby area...it is cute and hey I get a free round ligament massage.
