Hello! 2nd tri really flew by for me...I can't believe I'm here! I posted this question on my month board, but I thought I'd ask it here also.
Have you noticed an increase in cravings/aversions in 3rd tri? I've been craving nothing but cereal for the last 2 days (my dinner for the past 2 nights was Lucky Charms and a banana w/ peanut butter). Even typing that, it sounds good, lol.
TIA
Re: Moving over from 2nd tri/ Food Craving Question
all through 2nd tri i would buy bags of frozen whole green beans and mixed vegetables and eat that most nights for dinner. this tri it's more intense but with cucumbers instead. i will seriously wake up some mornings thinking i have to have a cucumber.
i know, my cravings are super-lame.
although, now i really want some lucky charms. /:
EDIT: how rude of me - welcome to 3rd tri. [:
Welcome! My food cravings have largely been in the protein category this whole pregnancy. First tri it was cheese and yogurt, second tri I ate more normally, and in my third I pretty much want meat. Eggs good... meat better.
Cereal is my go-to evening food (and by evening, I mean ~3am).... honey-nut cheerios when I'm half asleep and this yummy flax/pumpkin seed granola when I'm awake enough to appreciate it.... and when I want it as a treat, I eat it with vanilla rice milk and it basically tastes like dessert.
Funny--I just finished a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios. I may or may not have another.
I craved a lot of protein in my second tri.
welcome to the tri 3 board
i have less cravings this trimester than last, i think because my stomach is getting more cramped and eating is becoming less enjoyable...
Oh my goodness- cereal! My favorite snack/craving. My saying is cereal makes everything better
Cherrios have been a fave, and I just got my special favorite, Rice Crispie Treat Cereal! I had to buy them when I was visiting family in PA, as they don't sell it by be, so I am rationing it. Yes, I feel my cravings lightened up in the 2nd tri and now are back in full force, and I am always hungry!
Other weaknesses: doughnuts, and sausage egg and cheese sandwiches with pancakes or waffles as the bread. Yum. I love breakfast
Welcome to the 3rd tri!
