Evelyn's Strawberry Birthday (pips)

We had a small party (just family). I didn't get a lot of pictures because I was running around taking care of food and things, but here ya go!

I usually don't like "character" type decorations, but I love Eric Carle and the plates fit the strawberry theme. :)

The dress we got the strawberry theme from. I found it in a vintage/consignment store.

Cake made by a friend who is learning to be a baker. I wasn't completely happy with it (it was supposed to be a very pale pink and it turned out a weird flesh-color) but it was absolutely delicious, so I can't complain too much. :)

Smash cake. My mom made the candle holder for her. It looks really dark here, but it's a red strawberry.

I'm kind of ticked at myself, but this is the only picture I got of her whole outfit (the rest are just of her face or something). I'm hoping someone else got a good photo.

She wasn't sure what to think of the cake.

But she ate some of it. She was very dainty about it.

She preferred to eat it with a spoon. Seriously. :)

Her sweet great-grandmother decided to help her out with the cake. She likes to make sure the kids really get into it.

    Happy birthday to Evelyn!  What kind of drink did you do in the glass container?  I was thinking of white sangria but looking for other ideas.
