Just curious to see how many dates before you and your now DH or SO had sex?[Poll]

This is going to make me sound like a ho, but my DH and I were with mutual friends at a bar, and once we left, we both texted our friend to ask if each one was single. We both weren't looking for anything, just a good time, and we met the next weekend, got drunk, and had sex. We both agreed it would be just that, nothing serious.

3 months later we were living together, 5 months after that we were engaged, and 5 months after THAT were were married. Big Smile

We hadn't even went on a date yet. A big group of our friends and us were all out of town for a college football game. We got drunk, had sex. Then we got back to town we were awkward (because we had been friends for so long). I finally asked him if he wanted to get dinner and see a movie a few weeks after our trip and ever since then we have been together.

Not only did we have sex on our first date but it was within an hour of meeting. That was many years ago and we've been inseparable since.

To this day DH and I still argue about how long it took. We had sex at the end of our fourth date. I say that's 4 dates, but he says it's 3 dates since the 4th date wasn't over before we had sex, which doesn't even make sense. I totally see us still arguing about that even when we're old and gray sitting in our porch rockers.

DH was all silly la la about physical stuff. He's a shy boy. We kissed on our third date, but didn't full-on make out for like another 6 weeks after that. Sooo frustrating, as he's so hott. But then once I got him going, we were fine because we literally rounded the bases in one day

DH and I dated for a minute in high school, but then went separate ways. 5 years later he asked me to hang out and dang if I wasn't in his bed that night!!! (I am not a s.l.u.t however because he was my first and only)

The only reason we waited so long was because he went to South America on a mission trip for a month right after we became "official". So, if you don't count the month he was gone it took us 2 1/2 months before we did the deed.

DH and I were dating for close to a year before we did the deed :-) We met on a blind date a few weeks after I placed my daughter with her adoptive parents so I was pretty vulnerable for awhile. DH was and still is the sweetest. I had to ask him on our 6th or 7th date if he was going to kiss me (just like the new country song out now) it was so romantic.

Ha! We had sex the first time about 3 weeks after we started dating. I had known him for like 6 months, he was dating my friend. They broke up- and we started dating like 3 months later. I actually hung out with him the first time in a plutonic way at a bonfire party in the mountains. I made him go with me into the woods to go pee.

We got together about a month later. That was ten years ago.

Funny story - I made plans with DH to go to his condo one weekend night. We said we would watch a movie, hang around. He told me to bring my Wii. I did. DH likes to say we ended up playing Wiiiiiiiiii. So that's what he calls sex now....Wiiiiiiii!

We call it 'doing laundry.' We used to make up the excuse that we had to leave Sunday lunch with DH's family early because we needed to do laundry for the next week. When we got married my girlfriends gave me a laundry basket filled with shout, all- soft and gentle, snuggle and other punny type laundry items.

To answer the question, it was a few months after we met through mutual friends. We hung out a lot together at the bar and I knew he liked me but wouldn't make a move until I gave him a lot of hints. While watching Monsters Inc. after a long night of drinking and flirting he asked me are you ready for bed. How romantic! We had our first date a week later.

That is sort of like us. DH didn't kiss me until the 3rd or 4th date because he said he wouldn't be able to stop himself at just that. I'm glad he told me why he wasn't kissing me because I would have though he didn't like me.

DH and I waited 'til we were married, but the sad story of it was the failure to launch. I was a virgin, and it hurt.... It turned out that we didn't have sex on our wedding night, I cried because I felt bad, woke up at midnight yacking my guts up, and spent the rest of the week crying every night when we weren't successful.

My parents never talked to me about sex like aaaat all, so I had no idea what I was doing. The first sex talk I ever had was when I was about 19 or 20 with a friend.

It was probably a week after we got home from our honeymoon we were finally able to do the deed, but that sad part is, it was such a traumatic and gradual experience, I can't even remember my "first time."

I picked a few months, but that is because right after we started dating I moved to DC to become a live-in nanny. So we didn't see each other as often.
