Yet you created a new post to rehash it here?

    Avid, really...

Well at least it is here and not on the precious LOS.

"They are young, they are tender, they are niiiiice... eat them! EAT THEM!!!"

That really wasn't a flaming... more of a "singed eyebrows" type deal. In which case, the Gollum PIP is quite appropriate. Homeboy has like, NO eyebrows.

But other than that he is totally Hawt!

Between this and Yankee's zingers, I may get fired from giggle-snorting at my desk today!

I was ashamed to admit it, but he is my celebrity crush. Is that weird?

Nah, mine's Dobby from Harry Potter.

Now that's just strange... Stick out tongue

Maybe you are right.  I guess my FFFC can come out early.

I have never had alot of "girl" friends in my life.  Mostly because when I was in gradeschool I was ridiculed and made fun of for various reasons.  I mostly hung out with boys in grade-school because there was no drama involved with them and they were very accepting.  I was pulled out of a Catholic grade school in 3rd grade mainly because I was harrassed so badly by the girls saying I was fat and they made fun of my hair - it was anything to ruffle my feathers.  My teacher told my mother the best thing she could do for me was get me out of the environment.  At that point, I was trying to fist fight with the girls.

I went on to public school and had alot of issues with making friends.  It was an entirely new environment.  In 5th grade, I was hanging around with some of the girls in the popular crowd.  My self esteem was at a high.  I got invited to a sleep over where they lied to me about a pet cemetary in the girls back yard, they had a fashion show and pointed out every flaw I had, and I felt like I couldn't call my parents because it was midnight and I was stuck.

Jr High and High School was almost as bad.  I never dated any of the boys there and had a handful of people I felt I could trust.  I only have one person I would still consider a friend to this day from back then.

Long story short, I have alot of insecurities because of the issues I had as a child.  College was some of the best years of my life.  I have a hand full of amazing girlfriends but still have alot of insecurities that I will NEVER be able to get away from.

Thanks for allowing me to get this off my chest.

  • I'm sorry you had it so rough when you were younger, but having insecurities is not a valid excuse for making everything about you or playing the "victim" - a few people commented on your snarky comment to another bumpie, and you thought it was necessary to post a whole new thread about how you were being bashed?

Come on.  All women have insecurities, but at a certain point you have to get over it and move on, or else you (general you) will pass those insecurities on to your kids.

OK - I'm going to post this and pretty much run.  I'm off work in 10 mins.  But here goes....I get that shiity things like that can have a lasting effect.  But seriously, less than 10 posts in that other thread questioned your statement to Tammy and I didn't read any of them to be that horrible.  I'm not sure how all of that garnered a response like this.

I think in the future when you feel yourself getting super defensive maybe you should step away, take a few deep breaths and re-read the posts to make sure you have the tone and intent figured out before reacting.

  • I'm sorry you had a difficult time in school, Avid.  This really doesn't excuse the fact that in one post you say that you'd never be on thebump with 4 kids because you like to spend every second with your son yet a couple weeks ago you posted that you'll leave your DS in daycare when you have the day off.  Maybe what you posted wasn't THAT bad as you put it but I found it annoying and for sure flameworthy.

  • I was bullied to the point of trying to hurt myself in middle school and high school.  We all have to grow up and move past it.  Perhaps some therapy might help?  It did me.
