  Target online can have some pretty reasonable options.  However, you have to be willing to trust it since you can't see or feel them.

  Babies R Us and Buy Buy Baby have quite a few and they should at least be cheaper than Pottery Barn (although they were still a lot more than I wanted to spend!)

  I got a gorgeous white one on Craigslist for $150, I highly recommend stalking yours if your local one is busy!

  I know that the "Tryp" by Best Chair is a popular one.  Buy Buy Baby has a bunch of gliders, both regular and fully upholstered, on display. It may be good to start there.

  Also check Craigslist if you don't mind used.

  Target does carry one in store it's $199 for the set. the wood is espresso and the fabric is a lighter brown sued. I wanted a white glider so i am getting one from Walmart.com but they have a few different ones that you can pick your fabric. (this is what I did) and you can have it shipped to the store near you for pick-up FREE! (shipping to your house is not bad either. it was $10 to ship a crib & mattress)

  i also prefer a fully upholstered glider - but i only want gray - and it is not easy to find. 

   

  for brown gliders - i would check amazon - there are a ton

  Do you have a Bellini by you? We also fell in love with the pottery barn glider, but it was out of our price range. So we ventured into Bellini where we found our glider and the rest of baby's furniture. We paid $600 for a fully upholstered glider and were able to choose out of a great variety of fabrics. I definitely saw dark brown as an option :-). Good luck!

  I just bought a fully upholstered brown glider from Babies R Us.  They had multiple options in brown.  They seem to range between $350 and $500.  I would recommend ordering one soon.  It's gonna take 10-12 weeks to get the one I wanted.  There are some brown gliders in stock though, I was just picky.

  i found these walmart ones. they do free shipping to your local store, so i'm guessing they would return it too if something is wrong. i've been researching gliders too and i read online that walmart's enchanted brand is actually made by little castle and it's gotten great reviews. we're thinking of going the walmart route.
