I worked at Maggie Moo's, which is an ice cream store in the midwest. For some of you it is like a Cold Stone, or a Marble Slab. I also worked at a daycare at the same time.
Chi-Chi's Mexican Restaurant when I was 16 was my first "real" job. I did a little of everything except waitress (I'd be a terrible waitress). Cooked, dishes, hosted, food running, etc.
The first things I got paid for were babysitting and corn detasseling. I don't tend to think of them as read jobs, though.
Errand b!tch at my mom's company (she used to work for a trucking company). My tasks ranged anywhere from typing forms, filing papers, delivering lunch, shrink-wrapping incoming orders, and painting garbage cans. I was 16, and it was a very crappy job.

It was actually where I work right now. I was summer help at an insurance company when I was 16. Filing and putting returned claim checks in numerical order all day....super exciting :P

My first job other than babysitting I was a cashier at Food Lion (grocery store) this is actually where I met my husband. He was a manager at the last store I worked at.
"cookie artist" at Cookies By Design. It was a great job for teenage girls - we'd just sit in the back of the shop decorating cookies, listening to the radio and chatting.
Siggy Note: Drunk Ron Swanson is on a break while Amy Poehler takes over for a while, summing up my thoughts on all this birth control, prenatal testing, women's issues stuff in the news.

I was a waitress at a small town restaurant, my second job was working as a nurses aide at a nursing home. Glad I stuck with it, since I'm now a nurse!

I worked at the only store/restaurant in a small beach town. Everyone I worked with was my age, and it was so fun meeting people who were vacationing/camping at the beach.

It's a girl!
Mine was at this awful little tourist trap shop. They sold all these little collectible figurines. Some of them were rather cute actually. But the job itself sucked so much lol. I worked there for 9 months, and the older lady I worked with was so territorial that she never let me check people out. All I did all day was dust and "float" ie watch for shoplifters. Sooo boring. I was 18.
I started babysitting when I was 13ish, but aside from that I worked at McDonalds..it lasted 3 months before I quit and decide retail at JCPenney's was much better for me!
I worked as a clerk at an antique shop, it was fun and everyone was so nice. we just talked about girlie stuff all day! I loved when the owner brought in new stuff and told us the history, rarity or the value. We had to set up vignettes and visually mechandise the store. cute!
2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
For my first real job I was a grocery bagger at the local grocery store. I eventually moved up to cashier and then customer service (glorified cashier). I left there to start my Architectural Career and haven't looked back.

Well, I babysat and worked in childcare from 12-16ish, but that was all under the table My first official, report to the IRS job was as a hostess at a local pizza restaurant. The pay and tips were just decent, but the employee discount and free leftover food was the best perk!

Mine was a "counter person" at our local Pool, where I Would allow people in and sometime work the snackbar. started when I was 14 with working papers making $3.14/hour almost not worth it but it seemed like a lot then!
