Re: M/Paternity Benefits

  • Wow...I took 2 law school exams the week after Maddie was born, got 0 pay while I was out for my "maternity leave" (i.e. Christmas break) and was back at work/school when she was 6 weeks old.  I knew I should have stuck with that MIS major....

    Seriously though, that is A-MA-ZING!!!!

  • Holy crap, those are amazing benefits.  I got 6 weeks @ 70% pay, took an additional 2 weeks of vacation time.  DH got 2 weeks-one of the perks of his place of employment :)

The take out meal thing is crazy!

  • Ummm... I get NOTHING! I am aloud the 12 weeks off thanks to FMLA, but I won't be receiving a dime! Things like this remind me of how much my company really sucks every day!

  • Um yeah- that's fabulous.  Way better than anything I got (8 weeks paid out through my sick leave that took me 3.5 years of no sick days to earn).  I'm not complaining...  but remember that in the eyes of some, teachers have the *best* benefits.

  • I like the take-out meal part.  Never heard of that.

    I get 12 weeks 100% pay and my H gets 2 weeks 100% pay.
