When I was due with DS, my month board did a great thread about furbabies! I thought it would be fun to do something similar on a slow Wed!
So tell me about your Furbabies- post pictures if you have them!
We have a black lab, Maya age 2 years.
and a Japanese Shiba Inu, Kedem age 3 years. They are the furry loves of my life! We purchased both in Okinawa Japan when we were stationed overseas, they both made the 40 + hour travel time back with us to the East Coast!
Re: Tell me about your furbabies
My furbabies are in my siggy. The grey one on the right is Fiona. She just turned 10 on St. Patty's day, which incidentally, was the day I got my BFP.
She's a sweetheart, but is more like a regular cat in the sense that unless she needs something (food/scratching/petting) she kind of does her own thing.
The little guy on the left who looks like a Siamese is Miso. He is a 2 year old Tonkinese, which is half Burmese/half Siamese, a breed notorious for being very friendly/needy/vocal/generally dog-like. He is the little love of my life. He plays fetch, yowls when he wants attention (always) and buries himself in my arms every night at bedtime like a little stuffed animal. Love. Him.
I have a Chow/Australian Shepherd mix named Babygirl who's 8 this year. We've never really treated her like a dog but more like a daughter, to which now we see it'll be a bit of a dilemma when our little one appears lol. She thinks she's a lap dog at 45lbs, and tends to get in my lap and press herself back onto me which makes me laugh and gasp for air at the same time lol.
She gets jealous too, if I'm near her Daddy watching a movie or getting kissed by DH, she'll come over and swat me in the face or lick his chin until he stops LOL. Not sure how we're going to stop her from swatting the baby LOL!
We have a 4 year old (5 in May) pug... she's our world:
We have a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. He is 7 months and his name is Kingsley. He is my child...and knows it! He has really bad seperation anxiety when we leave just to go to dinner or work!! I love him soo much. He sleeps with us every night...uh oh, someone's going to be sad when baby comes!
We have a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier named Chewbacca (aka Chewy). He is the best pup! He has such a sweet demeanor, loves to cuddle and is just awesome! Love my furbaby!!!
She is sooo cute!! What is her name? We have two pugs Eugenie and Eudora, a Golden Retriever named Einstein and a Golden Pyr mix named Kinley (after the big, white, mountain, LOL).

My furbabies are AMAZING dogs.
We rescued Jager when he was 8 weeks old, and he is more human than dog. He is now 6 yrs old and is by far the best dog I've ever owned. He understands us extremely well and is so so smart. They told us he was pure beagle, but most people think he has a little Jack Russell in him.
Stella is a different story. She is a basset we rescued 2 years ago and we think she's about 4 yrs old now. She thinks she is the queen of the house and has "boundary issues"...at 45 lbs she doesn't understand why not everyone would want her in their laps. She absolutely loves sunbathing outside and "hunting" in the backyard. She adores Jager and follows him everywhere...
We have a 6 pound, bundle of soft fur BUNNY!
Her name is Maddow (after Rachel Maddow, I'm a news junkie) She is the most pampered bunny ever with her own room, own little bed, and over 10+ outfits! In return for being spoiled she snuggles, uses a liter box perfectly, and does some crazy tricks!
Thanks- her name is Cierra. I had a golden retriever growing up- they're the sweetest dogs- but I wanted a pug my whole life so that's what we got. I think once the baby is older we'll get a golden- they're such great family dogs.
We have 2 Boston Terriers; Brutus(5) and Pinky(4). We adore our dogs and they are our family. They are very high energy and this horrible winter is killing them. They want to get outside and run! Pinky loves DD and follows her around and gives her kisses. Brutus likes DD only if she has food.
We also have 3 cats; Angus(7), Butters(6) and Toby(9). Butters is feral and hides all.the.time. We don't touch her, she comes out to eat and will only socialize with the other cats. Angus is fat, adorable and LOVES people. I adopted him from a rescue my clinic works with. He was abandoned and left outside in winter. He had really sever eye ulcers and lost his ears to frostbite. Toby is our problem child and getting close to the end of his life. He has had innapropriate urination issues for 7 years and now it has advanced to innapropriate defecation. We have had to confine him to the laundry room. He is also in renal failure, losing weight and vomiting bile daily. Very sad, but we will need to make a decision soon.
Toby
Sorry this is soooooo long
my read shelf:
We have two rabbits.
They are both in my siggy.
Rupert is the black and white one, with short ears.
Dunkin is the brown and white one, with long, floppy ears.
We love them soooo much!

I love Bostons! I grew up with a purebreed, and now my parents have the 2 mixed Bostons that I adopted when I was a teenager.
Also your Angus almost looks like my Murphy. I love the whole black and white on animals.
my read shelf:
We have a cat that we adopted from the Humane Society a few years ago. His name is Jabba after Jabba the Hut - he is one big kitty and the name suits him well! When we rescued him, he was 13.1 pounds and the vet said to schedule feed him for a 10 pound cat because he should be closer to 11 pounds. Somehow he has grown to over 16 pounds!
He thinks he's people, very funny, knows our routines, love our shoes, freaks out about milk, has to drink water from the shower faucet every morning, knows how to play fetch, loves to build himself forts, follows me around like a little puppy, and he is a fantastic cuddler.
This is a fun post! I am def. a crazy dog mommy. I can't post extra pics here but I have on in my siggy.
Sampson is our 5y/o Jack Russel and Delilah is our 10 month old Golden Retriever.
They are so crazy and hyper and I love it! They love eachother and love to play/fight:) Already feeling guilty that they are going to get the shaft in November:/
We have 2 German Shepherds, Katie who is 4, and Titan who is 2. They are from the same breeder and have the same mom.
Here is Katie, she's very energetic and loves people.
And this is Titan, he's got the "whatever" personality and loves to play ball. He's a big boy, 125 lbs, and loves to climb on the couch and lay his huge head on my lap. Total momma's boy.
This was him as a teeny 8 week old 18lb pup, on the way home from Maine with him.
And this is last summer
LOL the first part of your comment reminds me of our older cat. We put her on a diet and I swear she just keeps getting bigger! And the second part reminds me of our little guy. He knows when it's bedtime and if we're not in the bedroom yet he'll climb up on the bed and yowl at us until we come join him.
Haha, long lost brothers??
We have one spoiled rotten beagle/German Shepherd mix who just turned 3. I have often said I love her so much I don't know what I'm going to do when the LO arrives!
Okay so we are crazy and have four furbabies:
Ellie is 8 and is a German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP). She is the alpha of our pack and daddy's little girl:
Next is Ollie, he is also 8 and is a basset hound. He loves kids! When we go to the park he begs to go play with the kids. He will be great with the new LO.
Then there is Wiley, age 3. I found him when he was a tiny little puppy full of fleas and on the street near a major intersection. How could I say no to those eyes!
Last but not least is Buddy, he is about 2 years old. We were in Petsmart and the group that brings pound pups out for adoption told DH he was going to be put down the next day. So we agreed to foster him. Well we did find him a "fur-ever" home, right with us. I know we are big suckers!
OUr two furbabies are, Remy a two year old red Doberman and Molson an eight year old Taby Cat.
Molson is not much of a snuggler, she comes to you if she wants attention, and Remy is your shadow. He never leaves my side, I call him my body guard. Ever since we found out I was pregnant, Remy rarely lets anyone near me which I think is sweet.
We have two dogs. Buster is my baby. I got him when he was 8 weeks old before I met DH. He was so tiny, I use to take him everywhere with me. He is a pug/schnauzer mix. Then he got fat lol. The first picture is him as a baby, second is most recent.
Our second dog is Bella. DH and I got her about a year into our relationship from a rescue group. They had set up outside of a Petco one day and we were eating lunch across the parking lot. He wanted to just go "look" and we ended up with her. She is a lab/rottie/blue heeler mix. First pic is her first home, second is most recent.
We have 2 babies. Our first one is Holly and she is a beagle/chihuahua mix that we rescued when she was 9 months old. She is currently 6 and she is the best dog i've ever had. She is such a cuddlebug and just wants to be loved. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body and she is the apple of her daddys eye!
Next up is Lucy, she is full blood beagle and we rescued her when she was 8 weeks old. She was very underweight, full of fleas and worms and had paint all over her. I chose the name Lucy because I am a huge I Love Lucy fan and the name totally fits her because she is always getting herself into some sort of mess! She turned 2 on Feb. 13th and she is a huge ball of energy. She doesn't listen at all and just loves life!
I couldn't picture my life without these dogs, they are my babies and I love them to death!
06/10 mmc@ 10 weeks: 03/11 mc @ 8 weeks due to blighted ovum.
We have a 3 year old Golden Retriever named Holly!
* See siggy pic.
I love that you have a Eugene!! I love that name - if my pug Eugenie had been a boy that would have been her name
