How many freezer meals?

How many freezer meals are you making? Mommas who have already been through this, how many did you make? Did you have enough? Did you have more than enough? I've made about a week's worth and just realized I don't really know when I should stop, haha. Maybe I'll just go until the freezer's full...

    I was wondering this myself, but then realized that the space in the freezer may be the real deciding factor lol!

    I'm mixing it up, some meals, but also like muffins and other quick stuff.

    Yep, it's going to depend on how much room I have.

    I'll probably make a lot - I usually do 10-12 when I make freezer meals, so I'll probably do that 2-3 times. Plus muffins (already done) and waffles.

    They'll last 3-4 months, no problem. You don't just have to eat freezer meals every night until they're gone.

    we don't have an extra freezer or much room in the regular one, so what i did is make parts of meals.  i made a huge crock pot of spaghetti sauce and froze it into individual serving sizes, made a few large pans of taco meat (both beef and chicken), seasoned it, and froze them in small baggies. there's no way we could store trays of food, so this method might work for you if you're short on space. to complement this, each week at the supermarket i've been stockpiling groceries that we use on a regular basis.  hopefully for the first few weeks we'll only have to worry about purchasing the perishables and not doing full food shops.

    home made pizza can be healthy and small enough to stack easily. They sell all kinds of cheap alluminum pans at supermarkets of all sizes, I think I'll make some small ones too for when DH or I need a quick snack. Whole wheat dough, low fat cheese, totally guilt free quick-meal. And nice and thin and stackable. :-)

    I wish! Unfortunately my husband can't eat gluten and I can't eat dairy, so our options are pretty limited. Otherwise I'd totally take the lazy route and buy already made frozen pizzas, Stouffer's dinners, the whole nine!

    This is what I do now, and will more then likely do for after lo arrives. I really want to buy a new or used chest freezer to have in the garage, but we are holding off on it for now. If BFing works out, we will get one for sure, so that I can deep freeze my milk for lo, and have a place for extra food. Dh does not cook, so its all me. He can reheat, that's about it.
