Hi ladies. I was wondering if you could answer a sleeping question for me since your DS's are just a bit older than DD. How many hours a night are they sleeping now? More than when they first came home? DD is only sleeping 3 at a time tops and that includes the time to feed her. My mom has been here so I have been able to take naps during the day but she is leaving tomorrow. I am hoping she will start to sleep a bit more soon! She is doing her 3 week growth spurt now so maybe that will help.
Also do your DH's work during the day? If so, how do you handle feedings so that he isn't too tired to get up and go to work? I hate to ask him to take a feeding because I know he works all day, but I have to function here at home at the same time. Any suggestions??? TIA!

Hey there!
DS is sleeping anywhere from 3-5 hours a stretch most nights. Usually around 4. The more he eats before bed, the longer he'll sleep, so I let him have as much as he wants at that last feeding before bed!
I also encourage him to stay awake after he eats around 7pm- obviously if he's really sleepy I just let him be- but I'll usually try to give him a bath, read to him, just keep him entertained and hopefully awake. I've found that really helps him to sleep more at night.
Yes, my DH works loooong hours during the day. I handle the bulk of the night feedings unless he has the next day off- those nights, he gets up with baby. But the rest of the nights, I do 90% of the night feedings- DH might get up and fix the bottle while I'm changing DS, but then I feed him and get him back to sleep. However, DH also has epilepsy. It's very well controlled but sleep deprivation can bring on a seizure, so I'm a little more cautious about him losing sleep. I also figure I can nap with DS during the day and DH doesn't have that option! That said, on some of the rougher nights when DS is up every couple hours (rare but has happened) DH will get up with him so I'm not totally exhausted the next day.
Good luck with mom leaving, I had a really tough time with that! I hope your DD will sleep well for you.
