High-Risk Pregnancy

Marginal cord insertion & cyst in placenta

...not to mention the GD as well, this is a little stressful :)

I'm not overly concerned as I understand Marginal isn't the "worst" diagnosis, and I understand the cyst can come and go, or not...

However, I like as much info as possible and my peri is just telling me not to worry about things I can't control which of course makes me want to search anyway.

I turn to you awesome ladies of the hi-risk board to please share your experience to ease this momma's nerves, please! :D

Thanks

*I'm going back in for u/s in four weeks from last u/s, pretty typical I believe.

Re: Marginal cord insertion & cyst in placenta

  • Hi :) I also have marginal cord insertion, which I am nervous about. Dr. Said not to worry and they will do u/s every month. I go for my glucose tolerance test on Monday which I'm also a little nervous about too. Sorry I can't reassure you, but I wanted you to know I'm going through the marginal insertion with you.

  • Thank you, Claudia <3 t & p for both our babies :)
  • Hi, try not to worry! I had velamentous cord insertion with my pregnancy (a more severe version of marginal cord insertion) and everything turned out great! They will monitor your baby for proper growth and keep a close on eye you but the good news is they caught it early and will make sure you baby looks good in there ;-) I was induced at 37 weeks because my amniotic fluid started to decrease but I was able to deliver vaginally and it all went great. For me being monitored so closely was scary but also very reassuring that every two weeks I got to see my baby and make sure that she was growing on schedule. Hang in there, I have been where you are and just know that someday it will all be a memory.
  • Thank you so much for your kind words <3
