Who eats crushed ice?

I know I'm not the only one.

If you eat crushed ice, do you ever get it from somewhere besides your fridge? I think someone said once that sonic sold ice and it was a-mazing.

My ice is tasting a bit weird. I don't trust my fridge. hahah.

    Sonic ice for sure. That's my favorite type of ice. They also sell bags of it. :)

    sonic ice is the best ever. We buy it from them (they sell huge bags) for any kind of party or gathering at our house!

    I eat ice ALL. THE. TIME! My doctor says it's pica from being severely anemic, but I still eat ice, even though I take an iron supplement! Sonic has great ice, so does Chick-fil-A, although I'll eat ANY type of ice at this point Embarrassed

    Ice is my favorite food :P Any time I get fast food for lunch, I fill the cup to the top with ice and eat it when I'm done. Its like a mini-dessert. I don't even like to go through drive-thrus because they dont put enough ice in the cup. I'm so weird.

    I LOVE crushed ice.I'm constantly crunching. ^_^ I didnt know sonic sold ice by the bag! I go there just for the ice! I love it.I'm excited now,haha.I'm going there now!

    I wanted to stab my H in the face with the little plastic spoon when he offered me crushed ice before my epi. I'll never eat ice again.

    I told MH I was probably craving ice because of my low iron and now he's annoyed whenever I want to eat some and asks if I'm taking my supplement. Yes, I am, now let me eat my damn ice!

    I've been obsessed with ice during my pregnacy. I don't have an ice maker in my fridge so I will fill up the cube trays and take them out when they are half frozen and eat the whole tray. They are hollow cubes, it's great!

    Sonic confirmed. I'm totally making H go there today.

    I eat 4-5 cups of ice every day. But mine just doesn't taste great. lol Thanks ladies!

    I've always loved to crunch on ice.  

    We only just recently discovered the joys of Sonic out here in MA. The closest one to me is still almost 2 hours away :( but I agree the ice is great... especially if there was a strawberry limeade in the cup beforehand!

    For some reason, I am obsessed with Carl's Jr ice...It's like half-crushed. (at least it was where I used to live) It is completely delish.

    But we recently moved to WA, so there's really no Carl's around...and the one that's an hour away...has crappy ice. Booo!!!!

    If you have a Frisch's or a Big Boy, they also have that crushed ice like Sonic. Delicious!

    I craved ice like mad when I was borderline anemic.

    It hasn't been a problem since I fixed that.

    Count me in!!! I'm obsessed with ice - any kind of ice from just about anywhere. My DH looks at me like I"m crazy but I don't give a ratz a$$. I eat it all day long at work and get it as soon as I get home from work.

    It's just GLORIOUS.

    I do think it's an anemic thing for me - I'm taking my prenatals and trying to eat iron rich foods...not sure if that's working or not.

    I had this same thing happen with DD, but got over it soon after she was born.

    wow, you all make me feel unhealthy and fat. I haven't craved ice at all during this pregnancy and just had chips and dip....lol shame on me! Maybe I'll try reaching for an ice cube the next time and see what happens!

    I have also been eating ice like crazy lately. And I absolutely agree that Sonic has the best ice around! I was so thrilled when we moved back to Louisiana and we lived near a sonic again. Raising Canes also has the crushed ice which really is the best. Though like a PP said, I will eat any ice including the weird tasting stuff from our freezer. I didn't know that it could have something to do with anemia though. I wonder if I am anemic.

    Have all you ice eaters had your iron levels checked?  Eating ice is a form of pica that can signify anemia.
