what brand? disposable? washable? ...I am in my 2nd Tri, but I have a small gift card that expires soon and want to get some nursing pads with it... let me know!
I have tried Lansinoh, Johnson & Johnson, Medela and Nuk. Far and away my favorites are Johnson & Johnson. The only complaint I have about them is that they sometimes stick to me a bit if I haven't totally dried after nursing.
Nuk's are way too thin and wrinkle, and they're scratchy. Medela's are wrinkly too and show under your bra. Lansinoh's are ok, but I liked the shape that the Johnson & Johnsons have better.
johnson & johnson... def... they are shaped like a boob and even have a nipple groove.... its cool.... ive tried many different and keep coming back to j & j!!!
Good luck!

I prefer washable cotton or wool for over night and everyday wear. I only used disposable when I needed something that showed thru my bra less. The disposables (that I have found) inevitably have some sort of plastic in the lining which is not reccomended as it can encourage infections and trap heat but they are thinnner and less bulky. Overnights wool was a godsend and you don't have to wash them every use (like wiht a wool diaper cover). I'm a cloth diaper mom though so washable also appeals to me on all the same basis as cloth diapers do.

I tried almost all of the disposible ones and really wasn't happy with them. I used disposible for about 3 months and finally swiched to cloth. I have about 8 pairs and it's great! I love Bamboobies the best. They have a facebook page to find them. For me nursing at 7 months and still needing pads it saves a ton of money to use cloth and they feel soooo much better on the boobies!!
I like the reusable /lack of extra trash by using reusable pads. I have avent ones which are thicker and I like them. I also have thinner ones I think nuk brand. Those I don't like as much i soak through often if I'm not careful about getting to nurse/don't double the pads.
However I have been having leaking with reusable pads at night due to over supply/baby just starting to nurse on one side per feeding. So I'm going to try disposables at night.

I use the Lansinoh ones when I'm out and about or have a tight fitting shirt on because they mold better.
I use the Gerber ones when home because they are MUCH cheaper. So I use a combination of both.
I tried washable ones, several different brands, but they all seemed to stick to my nipples and really hurt when I had to take them off... imagine a bandaid reopening a wound, not fun! I'd love to find washable ones that work (especially since we CD both kiddos) but so far I haven't had any luck.
Thanks for asking this because i was going to as well. I didn't care for the nuk too thin but cheaper. The lanihol ones were ok but I still changed them too offen to pay so much. I will try some of the ones other mommies suggested. Thanks again.
I asked this same question a few weeks ago. I learned that you find what works for and fits you best. I'm using Johnson and Johnson's now and am a very happy camper.
