I realized after I had Delilah (I was 36) that there was probably a good reason people had kids in their 20s. I was bloody exhausted and had much less energy than I had a decade ago! For this one I will be 39. BUT - the advantage is that at my age, I make enough money that I can HIRE help! Most likely someone in their 20s! Haha!

BUT - if I had children with anyone I dated in my 20s, I would have been divorced fo sure. I waited for the right man. I'll take being an old hag happy mommy over a single young mommy any day.

Congratulations young and old mommies alike.

I actually have more energy now than I did in my 20s. I think its because I wised up, go to bed at a decent hour, cut out caffeine and eat better

Loved your post! I'm right there with you! Will be 37 when this baby is born and have no regrets about being an older mommy! Right man, right timing--had a lot of other stuff I needed/wanted to do first in life. But now is the 'mommy period'!
