D.C. Area Babies

Do you love your diaper bag?

I have a neutral, small-ish messenger style skip-hop diaper bag that both DH and I use but I'm already feeling like it is too small and wish it had an insulated area for bottles (and food down the road).  I love the way it clips to the stroller handles though so I'm considering this bigger skip-hop bag:  https://www.buybuybaby.com/product.asp?SKU=129238&

do any of you have a diaper bag that you really like and your dh is comfortable carrying?   I'd love some recommendations! TIA.

  • We have this one...works pretty good with 2 kids...and DH doesn't mind toting it around. Also attaches to strollers....

  • This has worked well for us.

It isn't pretty, but i like being able to go hands free if I need it.

With #2 on the way, be are going to go with a bigger regular back pack.

  • I have a few JuJuBe bags and love them.  They can be pricey, but my first one was a shower gift.  I've gotten the others for much cheaper from BabySteals.com, Amazon, ebay, or at TJ Maxx.  They fit my three requirements: great quality, well designed, and not ugly.

  • I think I have the same Skip Hop bag that you already have and I love it, but it did take awhile to figure out a good system for using all of the pockets. I keep the main/center pocket virtually empty (except the diapers and wipes case in their interior pockets) and shove all manner of crap in there for outings. I used a freebie Enfamil (or Similac?) insulated bag that I got from the hospital to keep things cold and it fit in there perfectly.
    The DC Nest. Winers welcome.

  • I love mine, but it's definitely not unisex. I have this bag from Storksak.

  • We use this Eddie Bauer diaper bag, which I love. I can't tell how it compares in size to the one you already have, so may be too small. It doesn't officially strap to a stroller, but we just hung it over the handle of the stroller and it was fine.

    Thank you :-)

  • We have a Kelty diaper bag.  It can be messenger or back pack but we use it mainly as a back pack and both like it.  Neither of us likes to carry a lot, but if needed, we can cram a lot in it.  It was from Amazon and it's a little different from the ones that are featured on the Kelty website now.

I do the same thing right now with the Similac bag from the hospital and shoving everything "extra" in the center, but I thought it would get really hard to find stuff as DS gets bigger and we start taking more stuff along...glad to know it's working well for you still!

    Thanks everybody for your recs!
