we didn't think we would find anything that fit us and not have to spend much money and do a close to even trade but the mazda 5 seems to be a great option for us. Anyone have one or know much more about them I have done some research and they seem to be great.
Re: Considering getting a new car anyone have a Mazda 5
We're a chevy family. We have and Equinox and a Cobalt. The equinox is great for us because it has a lot of back storage and plenty of carseat/leg room in the back. However, It can only seat 5, not 6.
I like staying American because they are generally less expensive to fix and the parts are easier to get. Plus, it's better for our economy.
Sorry I don't have more info about the Mazda. GL
My SIL has the Mazda 5 and loves it. She drove a small car before and says that it handles as well if not better. I will say the back seats are a little tight, but if you're putting kids back there and not adults, everything should fit fine
Did you have anything specific that you wanted to know about it? I'm more than happy to ask my SIL
I am considering it too. We have a minivan that is dying and cannot afford a new one yet.
Our second car a Subaru will not hold three car seats and is pointless in June. I had a Mazda Protoge before and loved it. I put 200 miles on it and the only times that it ever went into the shop were for routine maintenance and when I forgot to set the emergency brake (manual transmission) and it attacked another parked car.
Thanks ladies that is helpful. Well the research I have done they seem to be awesome. We have a Mercury Montego but we have 2 large dogs and our first on the way and hope to have two pretty close together I want to get it figured out now not later and we are pretty much doing an even trade only have to pay maybe 6 months to a year
It's one of the ones we are considering.
Both Consumer Reports and Edmunds like them.
