You said in another post that you make tortillas, do you have a recipe you can share, and what kind of flour do you use? My dh could also live off beans and tortillas (with rice and avocado and cheese). I have the beans down packed but haven't been able to find a recipe for tortillas. We've done arapas (which is Venezuelan version) but the flour is non existent around here and I'm out.

Well I cheat on the tortillas, i use tortilla flour that you mix with water. That's what my Grandma always does, and it tastes great, but we're From New Mexico so it's a Mexican/Native American style/taste of cooking. I'm pretty sure she has a recipe though. I'll ask and get back with you. She has said in the past that the tortilla flour is so similar to the tortillas from scratch that it's just not worth it to her to make them from scratch. I don't know if you have access to the tortilla flour there, if all else fails I could ship you some...don't know if that would be worth it and if it'd get there in one piece (or past customs!) but it's an idea!

Thanks, I was sure if there was a special flour or not. I'm sure it's something I can get when I go back home to Canada in a couple weeks.

Ah yes I forgot you're moving back to Canada! Yes I would think you'd be able to find it there!
