DD is almost 4 months old and is still in NB diapers. They seem like they are just now getting a little small. But how do you tell when to go up a size?
holy cow! dd was out of nb diapers at 2 weeks. we change when it seems like her butt is too wide for the diaper and it doesnt fit on the right spots anymore, or when she starts leaking out of them

We are hitting four months this week and just finishing up 1s and moving to 2's. I say when you have more leaks and they leave lines and make DC red. NB at four months! You must have a little baby

Well she was having blowouts her first month, but she doesn't anymore. And she is just long and skinny so they still fit pretty well. I've tried size 1 and they are huge on her. Maybe I'll try a different brand. It's like she is a little too big for NB now and a little too small for size 1. The NB I have say up to 10 lbs and she is about 11 lbs, but just pretty skinny.
I have a long and skinny baby too and I find Huggies are countoured more to her shape than Pampers. I like the way they fit her much better. The Pampers are so wide on her. I'm not sure what you're using but it's just a thought!
I noticed too that Pampers are smaller than Huggies. I stopped buying Pampers NB because they were getting too small but she fits in Huggies NB. Maybe since the Huggies NB are getting a little small and Huggies size 1 are too big, I'll try Pampers size 1.

Wow! She must be a tiny peanut. DS used a grand total of one newborn diaper. ONE. He just turned 4 months and we're already in 3s.

Wow, size 3? Yes she is a tiny peanut I feel bad though because she has reflux so she can't eat a lot at a time. If I feed her too much she throws it all up. So I have to feed her small amounts all day. So she would probably be bigger if she could keep her food down better.
