Just look at the replies that come along that are nasty which around here people prefer to call "snarky", PIP's that are rude, the various that show up, sarcastic comments, etc. And how often does anyone say anything about? [this I actually find rather sad]
Really there is no need for it. Instead just keep comments or pictures to yourself and move on.
Apparently "If you can not say something nice don't say anything at all" does not apply when some people are online or maybe they need the online attention and belittling to help them feel better?

Like I said in the other thread, I'm not thin-skinned so even if I can observe the behavior, doesn't mean I am going to sit in the corner rocking back and forth and crying. Some members here are ridiculous with their anger and their whining. "ZOMG alert the authorities someone posted another CD1 thread you are an idiot and here's a picture depicting how stupid you are ha ha ha LOL LOL pile on pile on pile on." How many of those posts are there? Even more than the nuisance posts they complain about. Overall, I think there's a lot of useful feedback and information here, so I stick around. Once in a while I'll even make a snarky comment when someone is very clearly just trolling ("I had sex eighteen times but it was 2 years ago am I preggers?"). But when people are cruel, I just ignore the asswipes. Are there more asswipes here than on other message boards? In my experience: YES. But I can tune most of it out. That's what I suggested the OP in that thread do as well. My take-away from this board is more positive than not.

As for whom I'm talking about...who cares? What's the point of saying, "You're kind of a jerk, have you ever tried to be a pleasant human being? Do you terrorize people in your daily life as much as you do online, or is your online persona especially cranky? Does your husband have to deal with this all of the time?" That person is not going to change their behavior as a result of me saying anything, so I simply ignore it. Not to mention that calling them out individually every time (and there are a lot of times) would just feed into their persecution complex.

The personalities and the dynamics here are fascinating. There are a few Queen Bees, and a handful of folks with really weak personalities who only have a sense of belonging if they are contributing to the pile on. I don't think those people are bad, I just think they're easily influenced. I've noticed this pattern here more than on other message boards. It is what it is I guess. Back to our regularly scheduled programming.
