I just so happened to go back to the kegels post from a few days ago.
And holy, wow! The links EarthyLady posted had me questioning what to do.
I kept looking around, and saw there was a follow-up post to the first one, which actually seems to more-so say the problem with kegels is you tense, but don't truly relax, and that you still need strong glutes and leg muscles. The woman recommended squatting, and then doing 10 kegels, but make sure you relax between them.
Pretty interesting.
Just thought I'd share for anyone else who might have been left with a lot of questions after reading those other links. I think I still have questions, but this seems to make sense to me.
Re: F/U "Kegels"
It's definitely something I am going to ask my doctor to see what he thinks. It makes me glad I'm doing weight training - including squats and lunges.
It's some topics like these that make me wonder why so many medical practitioners recommend kegels if they don't work. You'd think it would be more common knowledge.

This..but honestly..I didnt do kegels when I was pregnant with DD and I didnt tear when having her and tightened back up fine without em..Oh and after having DD she screwed me up so when I'd pee..I'd pee forward.. I'd have to lean front to make it in the toilet
My OB said do a lot of kegels and it would correct the issue..But I didnt do too many and I'm pretty much back to normal..so I have no idea.. Going to do them this time though since I'm sure I'm weaker now anyway thanks to DD..
