Freaking out a bit... Mirena related

Can't feel my strings.  I'm nearly positive I checked after my period was over two weeks ago.  Add in a few sessions of before the hubs leaves for a month nookie this last week and I'm over reacting completely.

Not ready for the next one.

I have an appointment for Monday.

Thanks Yankee.  We'll be fine if there's another on the way, but I wanted to wait longer.

  • I'm more of the wait until i'm actually late type.

At what point in a cycle can I test?

  • I've never actually known until after I miss a period or 3 as in the case with Matthew.

I have heard people start at 10 days past ovulation.

  • I worry about this because I've never been able to feel mine and the doctor told me not to worry about checking for them.  I'll probably end up on I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant some day :-/

  • I'm smack dab in the middle of a cycle, so it's more likely I've just ovulated.

I guess it's too early then.

Well I had a paraguard and you have a mirena so even if it moved out of place aren't the hormones there for a few days?   I think you're okay

  • We will see.  I'm not sure when/if it disappeared.  Sometime in the last 2 weeks.

  • Often times the strings get all wrapped up around your cervix.  It's probably still there, but it's a good ides to get it checked out.

  • The nurse said the strings sometimes disappear, which is why I said I was over reacting.  Thanks!

  • Is it bad that I pretty much never check for my strings?

I haven't had anything that I could legit call AF either & I'm still BFing.  Perhaps I'll check tomorrow...

  • I almost never ever check mine and a few weeks ago I decided to and couldn't find them.  I totally freaked out...then the day after I called my Dr's office and decide to check one more time and found them.  I felt silly :P According to my Dr it's a really really common concern.  I still haven't decided if I like Mirena or not...
