Yarn Q?

https://hyenacart.com/Spots_corner/st/200001/93813/Ella-Rae-Latte

I know nothing about yarn but I'm a sucker for anything with Ella's name attached Embarrassed.  Is this a good deal?  Is there enough to make some shorties?  And who will make them for me?

  • I will knit them for you, but it's not enough.  It's also not 100% wool so it wouldn't really work as a diaper cover.  It could be used as the trim yarn (waistbad and cuffs) with a different wool yarn as the main part of the shorties/longies.

Thanks! I'll pass on the yarn then.  How much would I need in case I do come across some I like?

You would need 3.5-4oz of your main yarn and then if you wanted a trim yarn probably 2oz.  Typically 100% wool yarn is 1ply, 2ply, or 3ply and you get 200+ ozs from a 3.5-4oz skein.  That will get you a pair of shorties and some extra yarn.  Depending on your LO's inseam it can get you a pair longies if you use trim yarn.

This is boyish but is a good example of size/weight (and the first thing I found)
