anyone ever had ectopic pregnancy?
How did you know? I was told last week I would miscarry and I'm still pregnant had beta 4 today -WTF so keep me in your thoughts I have U/S and B/W tomorrow. Gosh this is crazy

Unfortunately I have. Do they know it's ectopic or are just concerned about the possibility? What have your betas been?
I had the methatrexate shot and it wasn't that bad. My betas were as high as 3000 but they actually dropped fairly quickly - I started bleeding only a few days after I got the shot, and beta was back down to 0 in I think about 2-3 weeks.

wow 3000 is pretty high! no my number was very low...
how long were you bleeding for after the shot methatrexate?
I am soo nervous, scared and upset all at once...this really sucks
Usually you will have pain and bleeding with an ectopic and your beta kinda hovers around the same number since your tube can't shed the pregnancy like the uterus can.
As long as your beta is dropping appropriately, it's probably a chemical pregnancy.
I had 6 betas with my c/p. It went up 4x (never doubled) and then dropped on # 5 and # 6 was back to a non pregnant level.

July 2014-going back for the frozen embryo! ET 7/28, heartbeat seen at 6wks1day with SCH. Miscarriage confirmed at 6wks4days
They thought mine was a chemical at first - if I remember correctly it was like 270, then 500, then 500 again, then 400, so at that point they told me it was chemical. But then a few days later it spiked up to 1000 (u/s nothing visible in uterus), and when I went in a few days after that it was 2000 (u/s still nothing visible in uterus), which is when they gave me the shot; but they said my beta might continue to rise until the shot takes effect, so I think it got to around 2800 before dropping rapidly.
I was bleeding for about the length of a regular period, although it was very heavy. They never could actually locate where the ectopic was, so I don't know for sure if it was in my tube or somewhere else!

I've had two ectopics.
Both of my betas were relatively low. Between 300-500 at the highest.
One was found via ER visit after massive pain and the second when I had low betas and had no baby in the ute. Methotrexate for both. Info in my siggy and on my blog.

After 7 rounds of clomid and HcG, Three failed IUI's with an ectopic pregnancy, two shots of methotrextate, ER visits, breaks, low (3%) morphology One IVF cycle (lupron, gonal-F) that ended in another ectopic, more methotrexate, A Lap to disconnect both tubes, remove endo and a hydrosalphinx, . . .we are finally expecting TWINS from FET#1!

9.10.11-My beautiful Boys arrive unexpectedly at 28 weeks, 6 days.
I had a cervical ectopic. Took an extra long time to diagnose for a million reasons, though the abnormal beta rise meant it was never going to happen. First u/s was completely normal. Second u/s finally identified the pregnancy in the cervix.
The shot was no big deal, but it really did leave me completely wiped out for a couple of days. My beta was around 2500 when I was finally diagnosed, and it was down to 0 within 6 weeks. I bled for most of that time, but that is not uncommon with a cervical pregnancy. It wasn't heavy bleeding for me - just the most annoying heavy spotting ever.
Very sorry you have to deal with this.
