Hey Ladies-
I was a regular on here a couple years ago after I lost a little boy @ 17 weeks. DH and I tried some basic fertility treatments (clomid with follicle checks and injections) but after a few months of failure I had to take a break from it all.
Fast forward a year, and here we are again. This time around, I'd like to start with natural options to increase fertility and ovulation, and I want to find some reading material for fertility foods as well as things I should avoid. I'm hoping that living a healthier lifestyle and closely charting as well as OPKs might do the trick....I'd do anything to avoid the hormones and failed fertility treatments.
Anybody have books/websites that specifically address foods and/or natural supplements or herbal treatments?
Re: Recommended reading material for natural fertility options
Have you ever read the book, "Making Babies"? It is really good and has fertility diets and even self massage techniques and some supplements you can take. I've been following the diet in it and I've seen a deff increase in EWCM, so that alone is worth it for me. I'm not following it to the T, either, but I'm doing the best I can. An accupuncturist I talk to recommended it and I've had a few other people recommend it as well.

I'm getting this asap! Thanks.
I read Fully Fertile. It is lots of yoga, a little fetile diet, meditation/healing imagery. I just started but I've done yoga for about 2-3 years. This yoga is more gentle w/ pelvic, hip opening type moves to increase blood flow and strengthen...
I also just began fertility acupuncture and Chinese herbs. I did acupuncture before for migraines and it helped. My Oriental Medicine doctor is very optimistic but he suggested i wait two cycles before I BD so I can heal and rest.
Keep the updates coming I'd love to see other changes y'all notice.
My heart is as open as the sky.
Read about it on the blog
2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
This website has some good tips!

My naturopath recommends "The Infertility Cure" by Randine Lewis. This is her website: https://www.thefertilesoul.com/
It's a combination of chinese medicine and rethinking feminine fertility. I've not followed it exactly, but when I do try to follow the diet recommendations, and add acupuncture, I notice a difference in my cycles. (Shorter, etc.)
Good luck.

I also recommend "The Infertility Cure." My sister's good friend is one of the leading infertility acupuncturists (and one of Randine Lewis' trained practioners) and recommended it. She also suggested I try going gluten free when TTC, which I did (mostly) when I got pregnant before but stopped once I got the BFP. I'm back gf and plan on sticking with it through the first trimester next time.
I, too, don't follow the guidelines exactly, but it definitely has some interesting information in it.
P.S. I was also on different fertility meds. Clomid didn't work for me, but Femara did.
Also, don't waste your money on "The Infertility Diet: Get Pregnant and Prevent Miscarriage" by Fern Reiss. It basically just tells you to go vegan and eat to beans, tofu, and seeds (pumpkin, sunflower). While these foods may help, the book isn't worth the money.
Let me know if you find any good information.
Good luck,
Jill
