My friend Robyn and I have been friends since kindergarten. We grew up together and went to the same school. We were just talking and it got me thinking "I wonder if my kids will have a friend like that". Like if Nicholas makes friends with Billy Smith in Kindergarten, will they still be friends and be in each others' weddings?
Robyn and I have been friends for over 30 years. Little did we know when we met in Kindergarten in 1976, that we'd still be friends AND that we would have children with the same b-days (Her oldest and Nicholas share a B-day and her 2nd child and my 2nd child will also share a b-day).
Re: Childhood friends- how many years have you been friends?
Fun topic!
I have had the same BFF for 18 (nearly 19) years. Her oldest daughter is my Godchild and my son is hers. She lived with my family for a few years when we were in High School. We consider her family in every way that counts.
I don't know what I would do without her. You've gotta have girlfriends :-)
My best friend and I have been friends since kindergarten as well, so we've been friends for 25 years. She has a son but, he 12:) I hope our 2nd children will be close in age. I also have another good friend who I still keep in contact with (she lives in PA now) who I have known since we were 4.
I would say most of my brothers friends are people he has been friends with since elementary and middle school.
I have a friend from kindergarten... we used to be a lot closer and we don't see each other too often, but we consider each other close friends. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding and is part of all the special events in my life. However, I definitely think we had way more in common in kindergarten than we do now!!
I have another friend that I've known since elementary school and we used to be extremely close. We grew apart for a few years in college but we recently rediscovered our friendship and it's been awesome. We don't talk all that often, but when we do it's for hours and it's like no time has passed at all.
My very best friend is from high school... she's the one I can talk about absolutely anything with. We've known each other for about 17 years now (wow, crazy!!) and were like sisters from day one.
Unfortunately none of my close friends live nearby
My BFF is having her 1st baby this summer and we're so sad that our kids won't grow up having playdates. We will have some awesome family vacations though!!
I have known my oldest childhood friend since PRESCHOOL
It has been 30 years since we have been friends
We are both PG with #3 right now. Our oldest boys are 9 months apart. Our second children are 4 days apart and these last ones will be 3 weeks apart. We don't live in the same city anymore, but we talk every day.
Then we also have another "best" friend that we met in Kindergarten........so 28 years of friendship with her! She is PG with her 2nd......so our kids are all very close in age.
I love my friends! I don't know what I would do without them. They know everything about me and can read my mind!
I also have a group of very close girlfriends from college (sorority sisters....), so I have known all of them for 15 years now!
my friend Missi and I have been friends since 10th grade, so around 1986, Daniel and I have been friends since 11th grade, so 1987, and Christi and I have been friends since 2000.
I consider them all my best friends, we can go through ebbs and flows, but always there for one another

My oldest friend is from 4th grade, but we're not THAT close, and never see each other (she lives clear across the country from me). However, we definitely have a special bond that will never change.
My oldest CLOSE friends are from college, which for me was 21 years ago.

Life is beautiful!
I have a male friend, Bob, and we have been friends for 34 years now. He is honestly my best friend to the point that I call him my other husband. He was my "man of honor" at my wedding. I love that we have been friends virtually our entire lives as that is something really special to share such a long history with someone. I hope each of my children find someone like that.
Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12
Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
