Welcome to this week's Chicago Bump Check-in!
If you want to be added to the check-in, please respond to this post and let me know what brings you to the bump (Do you have a DC? DD or DS? Date of DC's birthday? Are you pregnant (how far along) or TTC?), whether you live in the city or burbs (give me a direction: N, NW, W, SW, S).

Haven't taken a spring break vacation per se - in college I was an athlete, so my spring breaks were training camps. Boo.
But we have done vacations in the spring! Last year we did a babymoon in February (not exactly spring) in Riviera Maya Mexico (a spring break kind of destination). This year we're bringing our little man to London to visit my BIL during the first week in April. I'm a little nervous about the travel and a lot nervous about the time change. Wish us luck!!
I really have never taken a spring break vacation!! And I won;t be this year ( I won;t be taking any vacations this year since I have a maternity leave coming up). I ahve always wanted to go to Hawaii and Egypt and I love to visit Washington DC and New Orleans.
BTW My LO's official due date is November 1st.
Growing up my Spring Breaks were always to California to visit my mom and my family. I lived in Chicago with my dad and stepmom
During college I did 2 mission trips in Costa Rica during Spring Break.
This year DH and I are going to California to visit my family when he's on Spring Break (he's a teacher), So, I'm so excited to be going on vacation in 10 days!
I've always wanted to go to the Caribbean or visit Italy. I also want to go to Disneyworld some day. I go to Disneyland every year when I'm in Cali with my family and love it.
I'm in Old Town for the time being. Hoping to move before LO arrives.
My family always seemed to take Spring Break Vacations while growing up in elementary school and high school, usually to someplace in Florida or Texas. In college I would always spend the week at a shelter for women and children in Mexico helping out.
With that said, hubby and I are planning our "babymoon" at the end of April and I am so excited! It's going to be like a spring break for us since we are both working and I can't wait! Haven't decided yet where we are going though!
Hi, can I join? Been on the Bump (Nest/NestBaby) since we were TTC back in 2007. Have a DS born 6/09, and cautiously expecting a girl, due date 7/9/11. Live in the west suburbs.
QOTW: Went on spring break trips through school years, never the wild type, either with my family or some friends (with parents still, other than one year in college) to Florida and mostly laid back. In law school DH and I did the same, road trip to various locales in Florida. No plans to travel now as I can't travel when pregnant. I've always wanted to go to Bora Bora/Tahiti, but now with a kid (kids soon?) I don't have the energy for that so we'll likely be doing the more typical Hawaii/Disney/etc. type trips. Would love to do a Disney Cruise!
Still exploring Bump!! New momma to be in Arlington Heights. Expecting my first on 9/28/11. I'm 25 years old, older than I thought I would be having my first but am the first in my group of friends to get pregnant. Still kind of shocked myself! We weren't trying, been with my boyfriend forever and been on birth control since I was 18 but somehow this little miracle happened!
Going to New York for the first time next month for "spring break," likely to be our last escape before the little one comes!
Glad to be here, it's easy to feel alone and misunderstood in this situation. Most of my friends don't understand the things I'm going through and I'm the first girl in my family to conceive. Happy to meet you all

I was just thinking about this the other day! I never took one when I was in grade school or high school, but in college, I did every year:
2003: Cheyenne, Wyoming to visit a friend; 2004: I played college softball so this year was spent in SC, Georgia and Alabama playing softball; 2005: Panama City Beach w/ DH (BF at the time), one of my friends and 18 of DH's frat brothers; 2006: Jamaica w/DH (still BF at the time); 2007: Vegas with 3 other girls!
No spring break this year or the last 3 years. DH have some spots we want to check off our list, mainly overseas...Australia being one of them!

I didn't do a spring break trip in school, ever, as much as I always wanted to. DH and I went to Florida in February a few years ago, Hawaii in February of 2009, and have taken a few trips in April over the years - San Francisco, LA, and Seattle.
We're actaully going to San Diego in a few weeks, so I guess thats a 'spring break' trip for us
DH & I went on a cruise during spring break about 6 years ago. We stopped in San Juan, St Maarten and St Thomas. It was glorious.
We really wanted to try and do another cruise this spring break as a babymoon but we just couldn't afford it.
