EWCM and the best time to BD?

I have a question about ewcm and the best time to BD.

FF says "Ovulation is most likely to occur on the last day that fertile quality cervical fluid is observed, though this can vary. This day is often called the "peak" cervical fluid day, even though it may not be the day where the most fertile cervical fluid is observed. Cervical fluid observations, however, cannot tell you definitively that you have ovulated- just that estrogen is high, and ovulation is probably approaching.

This is my question: We BD on Sunday and didn't notice any EWCM. Monday I had tons but I was working so no BD. Some EWCM this morning and a peak on my CBEFM. My left side is killing me right now so I know that I am ovulating. I'm not seeing any EWCM right now, but I'm not checking "up there" either. So, should our best chances have been to BD yesterday? Tonight ok? This is so confusing...???

    I'm not sure there is an exact best time.  The 5 days leading up to ovulation are your "fertile" days, so when in doubt, hump it out!  

    For me, if I see any EWCM, FWP starts and continues until my temps rise!

    I think that it is hard to say when there is a "best" time.  I used the CBEFM with my DS and I made sure that I BD every other day during high days and at least one of my peak days.  I know the machine says that once you get the peak, you should ovulate 24-36 hours later.  Plus, i believe that some sperm can last 72 hours.  So, you should have hit a good time somewhere in there.  Good luck :)

    This is what I do as well. FF counts the days before O, the day of O, and the day after to be the best days. I personally think it's those three days before that are the most important....based on past experience.

    First Ultrasound at 6w2d revealed two sacs, only one with a heartbeat

    LK arrived after 42 weeks on August 14, 2013! Beautiful, healthy, and happy!

    TTC#2: IVF booked for April 2015

    Surprise BFP#5 February 19, 2015 EDD: November 2, 2015

    Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270

    First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.

    JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.
