Clicky: Does your DD wear thong style sandals?

You know, w/the thing between the toe and the strap around the back?

I'm shopping for DD's spring and summer shoes and i've never tried this style on her before but i'm wondering if she'll like it or not... My  niece hates it and screams so i'm not sure.

Edited to make clicky. Figured that was easier.

  • DD can't keep them on. If they don't have the elastic strap around the back, we don't get them. But she doesn't mind the part between her toes. We're Floridians, we live in sandals :)

  • I only buy DD the kind with the elastic strap on the back. She loves them. Old Navy is our favorite.

  • DD1 has never liked the strap between her toes. I might have her try them again this year but I'm not counting on it.

  • i didnt vote because we havent tried them yet (my DD is very very picky about shoes), but do you have a good resale/consignment shop where you can get a cheap pair first?  then you can try them out!

also not sure if you're interested in Crocs, but even my picky DD adores hers!!!!

This exactly! Except we can now do flip flops too. There was a learning curve but she mastered them pretty quick!

  • DD loves loves loves her 'flip flops!'  She has been talking about wearing them all winter and if she could count down the days until she gets to wear her new pair this spring/summer I'm sure she would.

She never had a problem keeping them on, the ones with the strap in the back.

  • I only let my girls wear this style with a back strap and it totally depends on the shoe if they find it comfy or not.  I always bring them shoe shopping with me.  And we don't use this style for everyday/park play or school.  They wear more of a Keen style shoe for that.  These are just more for dress-up type of things or really none, outside play stuff if that makes sense.
