XP from Baby Gear: Munire Cirque Nursery Furniture

Hi all-

I had my heart set on muu furniture for the nursery, but when i went to the store to order it the salesperson offered a really great deal for the Munire Cirque collection.  I don't much about it, but from looking it up I see baby bargains gave it an A.  However, I also see that they had a recall for lead paint a few years ago that's got me freaked out.  Finally I'm wondering if anyone has/has seen this set in person.  Is the crib rail made out of solid wood or mdf?

Basically, any feedback on this set in particular or Munire in general would be appreciated.  The price is really MUCH lower for this vs. the muu!!

    I was going to get a Munrie set until I spoke with quite a few furniture store owners who said it isn't packaged for shipping and often breaks in transport.  The sets I was looking at were all solid wood so I'm sure the Cirque is as well.  It's great quality furniture and beautiful, but I didn't want to risk the headache with shipping (and couldn't find the set I wanted nearby).  But, if you are buying it through a store in town that might not be an issue for you (easier returns, etc).

    We have Munrie furniture (Newport) for DS#1 and plan to purchase Munrie (Lexington) for DS#2. I am totally in love with his furniture. It's held up fantastically for 2+ years, is real, solid wood and very well made.

    I don't know about the packaging for shipping, we bought ours from a local store and had it set up and delivered by the store. The recall a couple of years ago was (if I'm remembering correctly) their antique black color, which was red paint under a black finish. We purchased an espresso finish, and have had no problems at all.
