Sick after GTT (GDT)

I had my GTT this morning and now i feel soooo sick, Its took all my energy to get to the computer just to ask this question. Has anyone else felt sick after there glucouse test? Does it mean there is a good chance i have failed the test? im back on wed for results.

I felt off the entire day I took the 3hr. I was pretty positive that I failed, since I had GD with my first son, but found out on Friday that I passed!!!

I took my 3hr on Friday and for the first two draws I felt TERRIBLE! It was awful...I was so sick to my stomach, dizzy, and hot. I started to feel better and finally did when I got some food. I then went home and passed out...and felt a lot better after I took a nap. I think a lot of people feel crummy during that test.

Yes! In fact I posted almost the asme thing on the bump after my GTT last pregnancy. I had a lot of people comment back that they felt sick too. It was totally gone the next day. Hope you feel better soon!

I did the 3-hour fasting GTT about a year ago to rule out Diabetes. I was sick the day I took the test and felt off all day, like the pp have mentioned. I ate some high-protein items (peanutbutter sandwich on high fiber bread) and that seemed to help with the nausea for a while. I woke up the next day feeling a bit off, but a whole lot better.

ETA: I passed with flying colors. I'm not as hopeful this time.

Thanks everyone. Its good to know that im not the only one to have these syptoms (I also felt really hot and dizzy) I was really worried it was a sign i was going to fail the test but your responses have help put my mind at rest. Im feeling a little better now after some sleep and something to eat and im sure that by the morning ill be fine

I felt sick too, fairly nauseous and a horrible headache. I ended up falling asleep on the couch for a few hours in the evening my head hurt so bad. It was fine the next day. I passed my GD test and when I chatted with my Dr. about it she said even when you pass the test it is a lot of sugar for your body to process.

I didn't feel sick after my one hour this past week but man did I crash, hard! It was all I could do to get home and pass out on the couch!
