Convert single to double?

So I am thinking it would be better to have a double breast pump, I have the Medela Swing right now. I feel like I lose so much milk when I pump because I leak so much,..

I was wondering is there any way to use the motor part but get (I'm not sure where?) a double pump part (that goes on boobs) and a special tube?

Probably a dumb question. LOL

Or better off just selling my used pump and buying a double?

Re: Convert single to double?

  • There's a product you can buy to collect your letdown when using a one sided pump: https://buythebestreviews.com/milkies-milk-saver-breast-pads-collect-milk/

If you're going to need to pump at work or pump on a regular basis in general, I'd get a double sided pump. But if you only need to pump occasionally, a one sided pump is fine. Eventually you'll stop leaking on the other side.

  • i agree with pp... i've never tried those milk savers, but they look interesting...

otherwise when i was only pumping one side and the other started to leak, i'd just hold an empty bottle up to that side and let it drip in
