1st Trimester

More spotting.

It's not bad, it's not heavy - it's already disappeared.  But seriously.  Every couple of days since this weekend, for awhile on the toilet paper and then it's gone.  It's frustrating.

I was feeling so good and positive today too.  Now I'm sort of freaked out again.

  • I feel your pain.  I had unexplained spotting on and off 2 weeks ago and then it stopped for 1.5 weeks and returned.  Just when you're feeling more confident about a healthy baby...  I'm sure it's nothing, but I just wanted to let you know I know how you feel :)
  • Ugh, I'm sorry. That is so frustrating. I'm glad it's stopped though.
  • Appt is tomorrow.

  • Hey Easjer,

I'm in the same boat.  I  started spotting around week 7 and that lasted for a couple days--nothing serious, just tan when I wiped.  I had an ultrasound that week and the baby was perfect, measuring right up to date, heart beating strong.  Then 2 days later, more light spotting.  Fast forward 4 days and I had my first "flow" of maroon blood.  I immediately called the mw and they scheduled another ultrasound for the following day because I was getting ready to fly cross country for 10 days on business.  At the second ultrasound, one week to date from the first one, the baby and all the components (umbilical cord, sac, etc.) looked great.  At that point the MW told me to travel, and not to worry unless the bleeding was accompanied by cramping or became even heavier.  So off I went to San Diego.  Basically, every other day that I've been here I "bleed" for a short episode and over the course of a day it tapers off to spotting and then it happens again the next day.  It's driving me nuts. And I have no idea what to think as far as the viability of the pregnancy.  I just want it to stop! It's really unnerving.  Everytime the excitement of the pregnancy feels real, I experience spotting and i'm flooded with doubt. Anyway, keep us updated, I'm crossing my fingers for both of us!

  • I hope everything turns out okay for you. I spotted for three weeks straight in my first trimester & everything turned out okay.

    Good luck!

  • I don't know if it makes you feel better, but I have been spotting on and off the ENTIRE time.  I've had bright red blood twice, but mostly tan and when I wipe.  I've had several episodes of the rust colored stuff and it seemed pretty heavy.  I did have a doctor's appointment one week ago and we saw the little one with the heartbeat and everything was measuring right on track.  Try not to worry unless it's bright red - enough to fill a pad or you are cramping heavily - I know, easier said than done.  Good luck, I'm sure everything will be just fine!

    Best of luck, eas.

  • GL Easjer. My thoughts are with you.
  • I am going through the same thing. I spot only in the AM and it's light pink.  My next appt is 11/10, if I get any more worried I am definately visiting the doc early.
