IUI question

anyone else have to do IUI out of pocket? What were your costs? Our insurance doesnt cover it. We are waiting to hear back from our doc on the cost but in the mean time trying to see what others are having to pay.  We are in the Dallas area if that helps.

    The actual iui cost right around $300 for us. Lucky us, our RE likes to do b2b iui's and we spend about $600 per cycle on that alone.  If you are being monitored/doing a medicated cycle it will cost more for ultrasounds and labwork.

    An IUI cycle for us costs $2500 but this includes several b/w and u/s,the meds which includes the clomid, FSH, LH, HCG, estradial, & progesterone.  It also includes the IUI itself ($388) and the sperm wash.  The u/s are listed at about $1400.  The drugs are about $600. 

    Cost always depends on what all you're taking, and how much monitoring you'll need.

    Well here in Alberta our IUI was $325 + $75 for the Clomid + $88 for the HCG shot. All ultrasounds & bloodwork are part of public health in Canada.

    I am in DFW and our IUI will be about $800 a cycle.  That includes monitering and meds.  I am with Dr. Le in Las Colinas.

    I have yet to go that route yet, but I was quoted $450 including the wash in the Los Angeles area.  My insurance covers the ultrasounds, b/w, and medications.  I am on Blueshield HMO which doesn't like to cover anything, and they actually will cover me about 50% by covering the meds and monitoring u/s's for clomid.

    Mine was in the $600-700 range, which included meds, u/s and bloodwork.

    We are also OOP for anything IF related.  We have done 2 IUIs, 1 cycle was around $2,000 and the other was around $2,500.  The reason for the increase was because we added an injection to the cycle to be a little more aggressive and up our chances a little bit.  I'm in the midwest, not sure if this would affect your costs significantly or not.  GL!!

    thank you all. i just got quoted for 320 for the iui, 50-100 for clomid which isnt too bad.
