My 5 day fever and stomach pain turned out to be.... (kids mentioned)
A pelvic infection. I have been posting about my high fevers and having stomach pain last week and talking to the doctors and they kept saying it was a viral thing and to let nature takes it course. By Thursday night I was in excruciating pain. I called the on call dr and he thought it might be my appendix and to go to ER. Well since the pain was coming and going I decided to wait through the night (we had two kids in bed) plus our good friend is a dr. so he came by in the morning to check on me. From where my pain was at he know it wasn't a viral thing and called in a CT scan to be done on my abdomen and pelvic. Well that came back out of whack and my white blood cells were really high. They knew I needed surgery so they admitted me (this was friday). I had to be cut open, they drained all the infection and remove my appendix just for precautionary.
So after it is all said and done I find out it all started from my d&c. My uterus never shrank back down to normal size and an infection started in the left tube (I don't have my right tube/ovary) and just kept spreading for the past two months. I just can't believe they never saw anything on the two ultrasounds I had the past two weeks. I am on about 5 different antibiotics now, morphine, potassium and who else knows what.
I just can not believe this all keeps happening to me. I feel there is no light at the end of the tunnel. My main concern is my left tube had to be patched up and the dr. said it may result in having problems getting pregnant but it was too early to tell and that we would cross that bridge in a few months once I get healthy again. I feel like this is a joke someone is playing on me. As if my miscarriage wasn't hard enough to deal with. I am able to get up and move around better today so my energy is coming back so that is good.
I hope I don't have to keep posting these sad posts anymore! I just pray the worst is behind me. Thanks for listening! Happy Sunday to you all!

First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.
JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

Oh my goodness!! That is so terrible, I am so glad that you were able to get in to the hospital and they were able to catch it before it got worse. But, really, I would be upset too - being that you had a D&C recently, you'd think someone might have considered that.
I hope that you have a full and fast recovery. (((hugs)))

I am so sorry to hear this. I can only begin to imagine how frightening this all is for you.

WOW ... I can't believe all of this has happened to you! I'm glad to hear that you're already getting your energy back.
I noticed you said your uterus didn't shrink back down to size. Is this what caused all your heavy, heavy bleeding too? I had this happen to me when I was in the midst of my m/c. The ER had to give me some type of injectable medication to help it shrink back down to size. I bled quite a bit, but not as much as you.
So sorry you had to lose your appendix, but fingers double crossed that your left tube will heal to be as good as new! Take care. <<HUGS>>

I'm so mad that you've had to go through all of this. You know your body and have said all along that something wasn't right, and the medical professionals kept missing it. It makes me want to scream, and I'm not the one having to live this. I am so SO sorry you're going through this. I'm praying for a smooth recovery and a resilient left tube. (((BIG hugs)))

Oh man - I'm so sorry!!! Thank goodness someone FINALLY took you serious and figured out what is going on! I'm soooooooooooo sorry you're having to go through all this. The last three months have been nothing but awful for you, and I pray this is the end to it all! I hope these doctors keep a close eye on what is happening and things heal as best they can.
Are you considering getting a new OB? I feel like the current one didn't monitior you the way he should have or even take your symptoms seriously. This all makes me want to go smack him!
Anyways, I hope you can find some rest and peace in the coming weeks. I'll be praying for you!
