Yesterday I serged the raw edges of the fabric I'll be using for the bedding and washed everything... going to see how much I can get done this weekend.
Hope to at least get the crib skirt done and get a good start of the bumpers.
No nursery plans for this weekend - we're waiting for our wall decals to come in. We have plans to go car shopping on Saturday (since mine is a POS that's rusted through) and I'm hoping to go through the baby clothes that SIL gave us and doing my first load of baby laundry.

Well I'm actually going to be working this weekend .. getting in some overtime on top of working 40 hrs M-F and 40 hrs next M-F.
But DH says he is going to finally paint baby's room on Saturday while I am at work. I'm a bit nervous for him to do it while I'm not there .. but he said he would enjoy it more if I wasn't there to nag? *eye roll*
No official baby plans for this weekend but we're taking a little mini-babymoon within the state. I'm excited to get out of town for a couple days and relax a bit. Last weekend we cleaned out (mostly) the baby's room and moved their furniture in. We'll be moving the remaining regular furniture out next week, which is the last bit of non-baby stuff still there. We won't need to paint, either, so I'm pleased w/where we are for now.
I finished our registries and baby shower invite lists/addresses this week, too. And I've scheduled our pre-baby classes. All in all, I'm ready to relax this weekend

DH is at a conference this weekend and I'm being super social so it goes faster No real baby projects for us this weekend. We did more than enough last weekend!
Yayyy for the weekend! Tonight DH will be finally finishing up the painting of the walls and ceiling of the room! Ive been waiting and waiting for this day to come. Then we need to repaint the baseboards he took off! Tomorrow morning were going to register at target and babies r us, so that should be fun! So after the paint and everything is done we have picked out the carpet sample we like, so then we just have to get it installed within the next few weeks... I really want it done before April hits so we can bring the furniture and build it and I can start nesting! hahah excited!
I don't really have anything else I can do that I can think of. I am waiting for my shower to see if I get the bedding stuff I want so I am pretty much stuck until then.
Decluttering (trying to get myself somewhat organized before the arrival of this LO given that I'll need to juggle full-time work, a preschooler DS, and DH - LOL). Trying to get her closet ready which is also part of the decluttering project.
Tonight at 11p.m. is technically my "Monday" so I'll share what we did over my "weekend" We went to an (all new) furniture auction last night and got a changing table pad (ours came with a very thin one), an organic crib mattress and a dresser to match our crib. All for $190, I think we were able to save money! Also did my first load of laundry for the baby clothes we have so far. It's all very exciting!!

I'm working tomorrow but I believe my H and FIL and H's best friend are going to paint the nursery for me. I think they're picking up the paint tonight and will hopefully have it finished tomorrow before I get home. That would be completely wonderful. Then Sunday I hope to pick out the crib and get it ordered. Moving right along
We need to FINALLY get the room cleared out. My parents are coming to town next weekend with an armchair that we will likely use in the baby's room and we NEED to have a place to put it. If I can get the room cleared out this weekend, I will consider it a success.

I am throwing a baby shower for a friend who is due a month before me and I think that is all that this body can handle this weekend so no nursery stuff for me.
We're a little behind and just starting on the nursery. Today, DH is organizing the basement to move things from the formerly known as "junk room" so we can actually call it a nursery. It should be cleared out by tonight.
I'm putting a whole bunch of stuff up on our local classifieds that we're selling to fund some more baby stuff as well as make some room.
Tomorrow we're going out to pick a paint color and on Sunday I'm going to work on thank you cards. I'm hand-making them ahead of time for my showers. I'm a big paper crafter and have a Cricut so they're easy but nice because they're so personal.
June 2011 Mamas October Siggy Challenge - Then & Now
I'm not totally sure...all I want to do right now is sleep! I need to finish patching the drywall in the baby's closet. Last weekend was pretty busy for us with projects, so maybe we will just take it easy this weekend!
We have so many home projects I'm not sure which one will take priority. DH needs to finish the drywall in the baby's room. Then he is going to texture and paint. We will also be moving his desk out/ getting rid of it. If time allows, I would love to get the crib and dresser set up so my mom and I can put all the clothes away next Friday when she visits. We also have the entertainment center and cabinets and bookcase to finish assembling for the livingroom. Some of the stuff from DH's desk will be store there so it might end up taking priority.
I already had my first shower ( a smaller one back home) and although it was small in numbers...it was my family...and thus I have so many awesome gifts and outfits and onesies to sort through!!! I need to basically go through - take stock - decide on if we need to exchange for bigger sizes, wash and put away.
This sounds so mundane...but I am so ridiculously excited to do this b/c his furniture is here and I can put stuff away in his drawers!!! In his room!!! It's awesome!
We spent a few hours at Ikea buying a crib, some shelves and other storage bins. We are painting next weekend, so tomorrow we have to go buy primer, paint, and supplies.
