I feel like DS does not eat enough for breakfast. Before he started finger foods, he would eat a good sized bowl of baby cereal, a Gerber fruit tub, and drink milk. When he started finger foods, we added cut up fruit, and he would usually eat that on top of everything else. Now I can barely get him to eat anything. Today he had about a 1/4c of Cheerios, and a few spoonfuls of yogurt and a few spoonfuls of the smoothie he didn't finish last night, along with milk. He won't eat pancakes until after his nap (weirdo) and won't eat waffles or cereal bars. What's a typical breakfast for your LO?
Re: What does your 15mo eat for breakfast?
Oatmeal & a banana. Every day. We're having major food refusal issues around here and this is the one thing that works right now so we're not changing it
I buy a big container of instant oatmeal. 1/4 cup oats & 1/2 cup water in the microwave for 1min20sec. Then I add unsweetened applesauce from the fridge. This is cold enough to cool the hot oatmeal down to a temp where he can eat it immediately. Then I sprinkle it with a bit of cinnamon.
I give him the banana while I make the oatmeal. These are 2 things he never refuses.

My kid eats a very large breakfast and eats tiny amounts for lunch and dinner. A lot of pediatricians will tell you 1 decent size meal a day is plenty, so don't stress.
As to what he eats most days...fried egg, sausage patties, cheese or yogurt, blueberries or banana. He does not like grains, cereals, or breads AT ALL so I'm doing good to get a couple of pieces of Kashi cereal in him a day.
My DS eats a lot of fruit for breakfast, it doesn't matter what kind, he loves them all. We also give him cinnamon toast (cut into 1/4ths), or cereal (a variety of kinds). Sometimes muffins or soft bagels, I switch it up a lot.
On days she goes to school, she gets a nutrigrain bar and milk before we leave the house, then they feed her breakfast. Usually its a fruit, a grain and milk. She eats all that. On days she stays home, she has 2 scrambled eggs, fruit, cheerios and milk. Sometimes we make waffles or pancakes instead of eggs.
We let LO tell us when she is ready for breakfast, if we try to feed her at a certain time she wont eat. When she ready if we ask her she will tell us yes.
She normally has cherrios, 1/2c fruit, milk and some yogurt or applesauce.

Liam has been kind of picky lately... which is weird for him!
He will eat pancakes, eggs, banana, toast, applesauce, pears (basically any fruit), oatmeal, and various cereals.
