LOs with dairy allergies?

What were the symptoms?

How long before cut out dairy did you notice a difference?

    Well, she didn't have any symptoms, other than going into anaphylactic shock. Thankfully, I've got EpiPens for her her other allergies. It was her first time really consuming dairy on her own, so we never really saw any other symptoms. Plus, she had been tested for it a few months before and was negative.

    My LO breaks out in a rash around her mouth and on her hands and gets itchy. Once the dairy is gone so is the rash.

    LO gets crazy itchy within an hour and won't tolerate anything touching her skin. It took about 24 hours for the general itch to go away then the eczema spots take a few days to treat.

    DD lived with a rash for the first 8 mo of her life, spit up constantly as an infant, and would cry and cry after a bottle or anything with dairy. She was also super congested. Once we saw the allergist, she was a new child within 48 hours. It was amazing!!

    Jacob got hives within minutes, more like seconds, on his face and chin when exposed to formula around 8m old (we bf'd, but I just wanted to try). We never really gave any dairy, except through BM, which is processed differently and it didnt create hives for him.

    We got a blood test at Pedi and the skin test at the allergist...

    We still aren't 100% sure she does have an allergy or intolerance to dairy. She was just started on whole milk at 13mos, at 1yr I started her on soy since that is what we drink but our dr. suggested for her to have whole milk to help with her low weight issues. She's been spitting up since birth, it  slowed down quite a bit as she neared 1 yr but then around the time we introduced the milk she started projectile vomiting. We stopped with the whole milk and went back to soy and it pretty much stopped the vomiting. She rarely throws up now, I think the pediasure that we mix in with her soy milk has caused her to a few times, she can't drink it straight I think it's too strong or something. We also stopped feeding her cheese and yogurt at the same time. She's had testing done and we'll have the results of everything in April.
