second beta was lower than wanted :(

i know someone told me earlier today that my beta might be lower due to the fact they drained my OHSS yesterday. but still--i'm a little worried. beta 1 was 531 so they wanted today to be 1060, but it was 939. i'm waiting for a call back from my nurse to discuss.

even though i knew this might be the case it doesn't feel good.....anyone else have this happen to them?

    I am so sorry that you are going through this :(  What is great is that your second beta went up so much.  I know that doubling times may vary.  My second beta did not even rise 40% and here I am sitting looking at my beautiful baby boy.  Please have hope, I know it is scary, but have hope!!  Take care and keep us posted :)

    It took over four years to be diagnosed with PCOS. We TTC #1 for 18 months, did 5 rounds of Clomid and finally moved onto IVF...which worked! Throughout our IF journey, we suffered 3 miscarriages. We conceived both DD and DS without treatment.

    You're good per what my RE says.  He says it's fine so long as there is a 66% 2 day rise.

    You started out so high maybe it takes slightly longer to double?  Also you had all that fluid drained. 

    You should be fine!

    Your numbers sound fine.  My RE said as long as it is 66%.  My 3rd beta (which was way lower than yours) did not quite double either.  Waiting for betas

    My second beta didn't double perfectly - good rise like yours but did double.  I was crushed.  Well, here I am 16 1/2 weeks pregnant...I know it doesn't feel good.  But, you have to have faith that this will all work out!  Good luck!

    Mine never came close to doubling every 72 hours, and I'm happily pregnant.

    My second beta didn't double perfectly.  I believe my doubling time was 53 hours.  My third however was waaaay more than double.  Don't worry!

    thanks ladies! just talked to nurse again and she said it's likely b/c of the OHSS. i'll hope for an even better number friday!

    I am coming in late but I am glad it came back so promising!  How is your OHSS now that they drained it? Are you feeling better?

    Please don't freak out, that is still a wonderful beta, especially for 4w4d pregnant.

    It will easily double in 72 hours.  Just take care of OHSS, and wait till your next beta, I am sure you will be perfect. 

    I am about to give birth, and one of my betas didn't quite double, and it was when I was about to cross the 1000 mark.  There comes a point where your betas start to level off too.

    trixie, i do feel better. but i'm scared already today that some fluid has come back. i'm already feeling more bloated and haven't peed much. stupid ohss! but i do still feel a million times better than before they drained it. they got 2 liters out! crazy. i'm just annoyed it can come back. so i'm keeping fingers crossed!

    I hope your not worrying too much!  Sounds like everything is going to be fine.  Good luck with beta #3!

    That is still a great beta!  I know how nervewracking it is, but it came so close to doubling -- that's what they want to see!

    I think your numbers are great! Mine only went up 66% every other day and I was crying and just "waiting for the inevitable," but here I am still chuggin away! Stay positive and I will keep you in my prayers!
