Ugh, that's terrible.
OP, you're a jerkofff. How could you be without such compassion for lives lost in such a tragic manner? And as another poster said, this is real stuff for us too, we were also told to evacuate at 4am this morning.
It was 22 a few hours ago, but 2 of them found family on facebook. Somehow they where able to post something. 12 of them have family in the area that was hit, and 6 of them live within a 100 miles of the impact zone. Unfortunately communication is down in those areas.

I hate it when one poster gets flamed to no end on a board, but hun, you had it coming.
Unbelievable. You don't have to read about it or hear about it all day on FB, the news, or any media outlet. A catastrophe of that magnitude is obviously going to cause a media frenzy and major news coverage. But, you have the control to turn things off if you don't want to constantly hear about it.
People lost loved ones, and I cannot imagine how someone could say they don't care about that.
And, OP, where are you? You post something like that and now you are nowhere to be found.

Stuff like this is exactly what is wrong with the world and why people see Americans as selfish, self-centered and heartless.
Somehow it made me cry watching cars and HUMANS and houses and everything else being swept away in the water, you know, even though it was ONLY in Japan. WTF is wrong with you? How can you not care about this tragedy and seriously be more worried about your FB statuses??? Shallow and self centered people like you make me sick.
I am glad to see stupidity does not get "flame free" status.
OP - the only kind of person who could watch any of those images of the tsunami crushing homes, cars and PEOPLE in its wake without feeling their stomach drop and caring about what happens to those people, are people without a compassionate bone in their body.

Sorry, this is truly an awful, awful post. I cannot believe that you don't have the humility to feel grateful that all you are dealing with is "annoying" bad news and not the death of loved ones or the destruction of your home.

I never said I don't care because they aren't Americans. I cared about Hati although I did get tired of hearing about that after about a week or so. Japan has a way better economy than we do so they can fix this crap without our money.
That's lovely...why on earth would you post that on here, did you seriously expect to get a whole bunch of people backing you? Did you stop to consider the people who may be effected by this tragedy who may read this post and how it would make them feel? Have you seen the news reports? How does that not break your heart??
And btw I am also from Orlando, so if we have a horrible natural disaster as some sort of karma for your ridiculously bitchy statement I am absolutely going to blame you!
You are a very small and sad person to have turned this around and made this horrible tragedy all about you. I'm sorry for your loss, but I would think that since you lived through a similar tragedy, that would make you more sensitive to what's going on, not less. I feel very sorry for you. I guess everyone in Hawaii, on the West Coast, and in Japan can just go suck it now, huh?
I second this, come on big girl, it's easy to post something like this in a fairly anonymous forum where no one you know personally will see it. If you really stand by your statements post it for all your close friends (if you have any) and family to see on FB. I personally think you are a pathetic and attention starved and that's why you posted this. I almost feel sorry for you, you must have a very sad life.
