i would really like 2, DH said he would like more - but i've always had this "middle child syndrome" thought with a third child so thought if we have a third, i'd have fourth but who knows - plus when i was 6 and went to Disney World i had to ride the rides my by myself - so if the family is an even number - no issue there ![]()
DH would like the second child fairly close to the first - he and his brother were 16 months apart...
Re: How many children do you and DH want??
This. I really hope we can have more than one (I was an only child, so I always wanted at least 2 kids) but right now I'm just thrilled we're finally having one!

none.
just kidding! probably 2.
Realistically: 2. That's the number DH and I have talked about since day one. Sometimes we contemplate more than two, but not realistically.
Especially since I have been considerably more sick this time. If it's true that you only get more and more sick with each pregnancy then, no thank you. I will be happy to be done with morning sickness for good!

We're done after this one. I'm having my tubes tied during my repeat c/s. We've always wanted 2 kids. They will be 17 1/2 months apart. We're happy with the spacing and being done with diapers, sleepless nights, etc. sooner than later.
We have always talked about 3 or 4, but also have plans to adopt one someday. If we adopt it won't be an infant that is high in demand but an older child or one with disabilities. I can't decide if we want 3 pregnancies (unless twins suprise us) or 3 kids by the time we are done. We are kind of going with the flow for now I suppose.
I asked DH after we found out I was pregnant how far apart he wanted our kids to be and he said to maybe start trying when this one is 6 months...how about NO! Props to people who have kids close together, but I don't know how you do it! I am struggling with first trimester grossness and can't imagine having to take care of an infant..or a toddler for that matter, so maybe this will be it!
haha - the bottom of my screen stopped at your saying none...i was like 'WWWHAAAAAA" i think y'all went past your wishes...heehee
sounds like you got a plan!!!
granted i don't know if its because this is my first child but i was extremely blessed with no m/s and only like 2 days without energy...but from reading posts about how sick some of y'all are i CANNOT imagine taking care of an infant AND going through all the sickness...changing poopy diapers - i'd be throwing up on my child! i've heard the second child brings more sickness so i'm thinking my time might come with the second!
it was sad - i hated it, always wound up bringing a friend on vacations later in my childhood
LOL, yeah. We'll see how it all works out. This baby is already a little stinker. Took several months more to conceive him/her than we anticipated. I was hoping to give birth before school started, not 2 months into it.

Another boy on the way!
2
No middle child for me! I am one...argh. I definitely wouldn't have 4.
At least 2. Maybe 3, i would be open to 4. Not sure if DH would be though..lol. We are young enough where we still have plenty of time to decide.
that is true!!! i didn't think about the car situation...lol
We both want 2, so we are done after this baby. I used to say that if this baby were a boy I would try one more time to get a girl. Now, I don't care if it's a boy or girl I'm done! As long as I have a healthy lil one all will be great!
We'll always remember our angel baby: BFP 9/24/10, M/C 10/23/10 8w4d
Neither of us really likes the idea of "trying" to have kids, so even with this one, we both agreed that we weren't going to try and prevent it, and if I got pregnant, great, but if I didn't, that would be fine too. Neither of us was even the least bit willing to chart or have any kind of fertility testing or anything done - it just wasn't that important to us. We're thrilled to be having a baby, but we would've been happy to remain kidless, too.
I think that for now, we're going to see how this one goes, but probably have the same attitude for the next few years - if I get pregnant again, great, but if not, then we're happy with just one. Once I hit my later 30s, I think we might start trying to prevent it again. I'm 31 now.
I don't think he wants more than 2, and I don't want more than three.
