Trying to Conceive

My husband and I are TTC and have been for only like a month. So it's not like I am expecting anything. But within the past week I have had slight nausea almost to the point of throwing up. And as of yesterday I have started having a cramping like sensation on my right side. In other months I have gotten this before (not realizing what it was) but it would only last for a few minutes. This is constant and I am unsure what is going on. I don't have any other symptoms that I know of. Help?

Re: Trying to Conceive

  • It could be anything from gas to late ovulation to implantation cramping. It could be that you're more aware of these things becaure you're TTC. We can't tell you what's going on any more than you can, so you'll just have to wait to test.

FWIW, I've had every pregnancy symptom under the sun on cycles that I was most definitely not pregnant. So try not to read into the "symptoms" too much.

  • Thanks! I know that I am more aware of things since TTC but I figured I am on this website for a reason so I might as well ask!
  • No worries. Just be aware that symptom analysis on some boards is considered fishing (as in fishing for someone to tell you that you're pregnant), and some people get up in arms over it. Thought I'd pass that along so you didn't get flamed early in the game.
  • I have noticed that the more you know about being pregnant, the more you can trick yourself into thinking you're pregnant.  I probably went through 3 boxes of pregnancy tests in 3 months thinking that I could be pregnant with a "no-go" result.  It wasn't until the 4th month, a missed period and major cramping that I decided to give a shot again and sure enough it was positive!  Try and relax....and try not to read TOO much!  :)
