New style of boys shorts

I went to Gymboree and Crzy 8 and the new style for boys shorts is stupid long. I got R one pair of cotton shorts from Gym and they go down to the middle of his calves. Not capris, shorts. It looks so ridiculous. Have you bought any yet?

Great. My ds is so short that is going to look terrible on him. I usually get all their clothes at Gymboree. Hopefully other stores aren't doing the style.

LOL! I passed down some tea shorts my DS had last summer to a friend. She told me not long ago that he had outgrown them and that they were super short. She thought they were pants. They are super long, which was great for crawling DS last summer, but they are really long.

Do you mean like Boden's baggies?

Gymbo's had similar shorts for 3 years now, I'm pretty sure. I know I bought some for Jackson 2-3 years ago that he never ended up wearing.

Yeah, all the shorts are really long, and I like them to stop just above or at the knee on the boys...I did have some Gap ones altered a couple years ago because they bugged me. I got some Target ones today, and some from the Kohl's Jumping Beans line that all still seem normal, but I'm keeping my eye on the Gap and Gymbo ones for the normal lengths!

Another random - I found some Levi shorts at Sam's Club a couple weeks ago.

I don't dress my DS in shorts that go much past the knee. I think it looks messy. I don't care what's "in". My DS is super skinny, last summer he was wearing 2T shorts (he's 4). I think this summer he'll just be in the 3T size from last year because the 4T all look like manpris on him.
