Britax Marathon or Frontier?

I want to buy a new carseat for my DH's truck. We have an Evenflo in there and I HATE it! The straps are always twisted somewhere and I don't think its safe. We have a Marathon in my car and its great.The Evenflo wasn't that much cheaper than what I got our Marathon for so that bugs me.

Anyway, Owen is 2 and 28 lbs and I don't know if we should buy another Marathon or move up to the Frontier 85 booster. He is just big enough to be in the Frontier and it will switch to the booster when he is ready. Since DH has an extended cab truck, Owen's seat is in the backseat and it had to sit more upright than in my car. Will a Marathon sit more straight? I have never tried in it his truck. He only rides short distances with DH so sleeping in the seat isn't really an issue. I don't want to buy the Frontier if he is really too small to be comfy in it though.

    I'd probably do the Frontier.  Gavin is 3 and only 30 lbs. Right now, he is still in the Marathon in DH's car and the original small Roundabout in my car. He's probably going to outgrow the Roundabout in height in the next few months so the plan is to get him a Frontier then and still use the Marathon in the other car.  I looked at the Frontier at BRU and it seems like it would be better for sitting up straight.  The marathon has that natural recline to it so that you can use it RF with little ones- but I think it would still probably work.  Maybe take him to BRU and try it out on their practice seat to see how comfy it is for him?

    Geneva currently sits in a Marathon and I just bought a Frontier 85. The kid turns 3 in April, is 41" and weighs 39 lbs. She's starting to look a little uncomfortable in the Marathon and I wanted a carseat with a slightly smaller footprint that's easier for her to get in and out of.

    It should be delivered later this week. I can give you a better review once she uses it a few times.

    I would get the frontier. We have it and love it. It'll last you much longer. It sits up much straighter than the britax we have in dh's car (can't remember the model of that one, it's the one that is bigger and is FF only). Ds loves his cupholders too.
