Sorry, my subject sucks. I didn't know how to make it short and make sense!
So we all do tummy time, some have exersaucers and jumpers and such...just wondering, do you actively help your baby practice sitting, standing or w/e depending on what they're ready for?
We let Amelia stand really often and I just started getting her to sit "on her own" for a couple of seconds before she starts to tip :P I'm just trying to keep her days interesting and change things up as much as possible.
Now, on to the flat head. Who else has a baby with a flat-ish head in the back? Has the pedi said anything about intervening (or not intervening)? Like I said above, she's not constantly putting pressure on the back, but there was enough up until now where it's not really round. Our dietitian mentioned it yesterday and said that I should bring it up to our crappy pedi (he always looks at her while she's laying down and has never checked it out. We're changing pedis for a few reasons).
TIA!
Re: Do you practice milestones + flat head
Yes, I practice milestones, so to speak.
I helped Ezra roll over until he could figure it out and now I'll sit him up or help him do whatever it is it looks like he's trying to do. That's how you teach anything - help them until they start doing it on their own.
I don't have any flat head issues, but I think you should switch pedi's if you don't like the one you have and he isn't checking the baby's noggin.
Thanks ladies!
Mrs. M, we are changing pedis soon. I want to go to her next appointment with our current one since it's coming up soon, but in the meantime I'm making phone calls and meeting with potential new ones. I loved going to him at first, but some things have popped up recently that kind of p!ss me off...like him not noticing her losing a pound and rushing through appointments.
That's great news! Where did you get the noggin nest?
Aww, Amelia does little crunches too
I hold her hands & help her sit up that way.
Thanks for reassuring me...I feel like I shouldn't put her on her back now! Obviously I still do, I'm just really aware of it and I keep moving her to different positions and holding her
Thanks again!
Thanks so much!
