Clomid vs. FSH

This is sort of a repost from 3T but I my RE nurse told me today that since I was responding so well to the 150mg dose of clomid (over 15 follies) that FSH wouldn't be much more effective.  I was under the impression that you could control the growth of follies, even with which ovary you wanted growth to occur, better with FSH.  Is this not true?  I know I need to talk to my RE, but now I feel like if I can't get pg on clomid that our only other option is going to be IVF.

Re: Clomid vs. FSH

  • I was never on Clomid, so my only experience is with injectables.  Injectables do allow more control over the amount of follies but you can't control which ovary you get follies from. I also think they produce better quality follies.

  • I am also under the impression that with clomid and FSH you can control more.

I think you have a good response. Are you doing TI or an IUI?

I couldnt get pregnant on clomid. They moved me to Gonal F and IUIs.
