Another Disney Question

First, I apologize if this may have already been asked.  I know that Disney World is a big topic on our board.

Due to dh's work schedule and his possible move to Germany later this year, it looks like we may be taking just one vacation this year, and that vacation will probably take place in May.  So, we are trying to decide between the beach and Disney World.  We took the boys to DW for a couple days last year the week of Thanksgiving and it was packed. 

So, for all you Disney experts, any idea how packed DW is the month of May?  We are just trying to look at our options and figure something out fairly quickly so we can  make travel arrangements.  If they are already extremely busy the month of May, we may decide to put off DW until next year.  Thanks!!

    We have gone in May a few times.  I would call the crowds average at that time.  It really depends on the week you go.  Probably early May is safest b/c spring break is over but summer break has not started for most of the country.

    As long as you go before memorial day you should be good. The first two weeks of May are pretty good since it's after spring breaks and before summer break. We've gone several times the last week of april and the first week of May. The crowds were always good. The of thankgiving is one of the worse weeks to go besides the week between christmas and new years.

    The earlier in May you go the better, before most schools get out is the best.

    Thanksgiving, 4th of July, Christmas and New Years are their busiest time.

    You need to check to see if they are offering the same deal to FL residents as last year. (4 day passes that expire right before Memorial Day weekend). We went 3x last year in May.  If you do go the earlier in May the better.  We went the weekend before Memorial Day weekend and it was awful. Way packed and super hot.
