Line near belly button that comes and goes?

The last week or so, when I'm feeling particularly full or stretched in the stomach, I've been noticing a strange indent/line that extends straight from below the belly button up to a few inches past the belly button.  I don't think it's linea nigra because it's not pigmentation, it's like an actual indentation.  It makes my stomach look like a split peach or something!  It's really strange- and the next morning it will be gone.  Any ideas what this is?

    I forget that technical name, but I believe what you might be seeing is actual separation of the abdominal muscles. I read about it in one of my pregnancy books.
