Recommend your skin care?

I am in the market for a new skin care line.  I currently have been using Kate Somerville, but some her her products are not pregnancy safe.  Does anyone have a line they really love?  My skin is fairly average, more dry than oily.  Also, something that can fight the first signs of aging too, is always a plus! :)  TIA!

Re: Recommend your skin care?

  • I know you're a Boston girl so you are probably familiar with this line -  I use the Elizabeth Grady products.  They are a little expensive (compared to drug stores products) but my aestician was great at pointing out which products from their line I should stop using and how I can replace them with something more pregnancy safe.

  • I use the Kate Sommerville stuff too.  There are some of here products that are safe.  I use the gentle cleanser, the oil free moisturizer and the Quench serum at night.  Why do you want to switch?  If you have  Sephora, you can talk with a skin care expert there and they can help you.  GL

Good thinking about Elizabeth Grady.  Maybe I will check them out, thank you! Do you live in Southie?

I actually don't want to switch, but when I was pregnant last time I stopped using all her stuff and assumed I would just do the same this time.  I love that cleanser and moisturizer, but for some reason thought there was something in the Quench serum that I couldn't use.  I love the HydraKate too, but I def think that is a no-no while pregnant.  Maybe I will re think this, b/c I do love her stuff.  Thanks!

  • I use Arbonne's skin care line and I love it.  It's all natural so it's safe during pregnancy.  I feel like it's helping me even out my skin while these hormones are going crazy.

Yes I am in Southie and go to the EG there - I LOVE the girl who does my facials!  Her name is Amanda and she is wonderful. Where are you located again?

  • I love Lemongrass Spa.  It's almost 100% natural ingredients (from food - oils, scents, etc.).  I've been using their face soap bar and I haven't had any breakouts from the pregnancy (maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones).  You'll have to look online for it: https://lemongrassspa.com/ Their handsoaps are amazing.

I live in Beacon Hill.  One of my best friends lives in Southie right by the beach and I love laying out over there in the summer.  Of course, we never step foot in the water!
