AW: Surprise baby shower at work! Thoughts on a thank you?

I really, truly did not expect a work shower. I get along with everyone here but our company is large and I only work on a day to day basis with about 3-4 people directly, so I really didn't expect anything. So, I was surprised when I walked into what I thought was a meeting and there were 20-something people there with food, a table full of gifts and a beautiful cake. I was shocked.

Anyway, I'm planning on writing out individual thank you notes to everyone but I'd like to get something special for the organizer since she did such a wonderful job. Any thoughts?

Do you know her pretty well? You could possible offer to take her to lunch one day at a nice restaurant if you both can get away from the office. Otherwise, I'd try to do a gift card to somewhere she likes and write a nice thank you note. That's really nice that they did that for you.
